| Dog park question Does anyone know the rules with bringing unfixed dogs to a dog park? Kaji's most favorite place in the world is a dog park. Great place to meet new pups and run around until he can't run anymore. But... He does get picked on (humped) by unfixed males. It's bad and ruins the trip when a dog owner allows their dog to hump all the other dogs to the point that people leave because their pups aren't having fun anymore. Does anyone know what the rules are?

| I don't think there is- How would that happen? Someone would have to be at the front gate at the park and make sure I would guess- That really stinks! Peanut gets hump by his bestie, which his fixed too!! I know how annoying it is!! Can you go to a different park? Or tell the owner of the humper to watch his dog!!

| I think different parks have different rules, but I'm pretty sure all of them say not to bring a female in heat into the dog park. Most of the dog parks we've been to have a big sign out front with all the rules, but it's more self regulation than someone standing there enforcing the rules. A few of the pay dog parks and the dog park where my parents live actually do have someone out in front of the park trying to enforce the rules. Some of the intact males have ruined our time at the dog park too. Sadly, we are the ones who end up leaving and not the dog who can't stop humping every dog in sight while his owner thinks it's funny or is nowhere to be found.

| Best thing would be talk to the owner. The dog park we go to there are a whole bunch of regulars. Well 2 of the regulars that go... the male pup always trys to hump the female pup...the females dad doesn't like that to happen so the males mom knows and when the male pupis trying...whoever see's it first will try to stop it. (sounds confusing and weird LOL) Good luck...

| I totally agree. That is extremely annoying when other dog owners allow for that. I don't know what the rules are but I can tell you the last time my 2 went they were chased down by a bigger dog and the owner thought it was funny and encouraged it. The nerve of some people at dog parks! |

| Our dog park has the rules posted on the gate to the big dog section and the gate to the small dog section and it says any dog over like 6 months or something like that has to be fixed. If you dog park doesn't have it listed I would look online and see if its there and if they have some kind of number you can call to complain about people not following the rules if it says the dogs must be fixed.

| I've only ever seen a sign not to bring a female in heat. I've seen a few unfixed males at our park too. Some are fine, others cause problems. There's this annoying little yorkie who used to just hump Jackson the whole time we were there - owner never did anything about it. Jackson's super tolerant, but it makes it less fun for him. We always leave. Owners a bit of a nutcase anyways.
