| Ear hair So I have been growing Peanut’s hair out, and every Sunday I give him a bath. I will trim his bum area and pee area, I will also trim his eyes. How am I suppose to leave the ears.. ( for growing his hair out). Do I leave them? Do I still tip them? What do you guys do with the ears… Pics are great too!

| Hm so you still tip the ears huh, Yes I know about inside of the ears. Peanut doesnt allow me to clip his nails, express his anals so I take him in to get that done- she will also pull the hair inside the ears as well!

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Since we are on the topic of grooming. When should the ears be plucked inside? Anniemay is 24 weeks and I have trimmed her ears and taken care of her privates but didn't know about plucking. Sounds like something that I should deffinately have a groomer do. How do you find a good one?

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | So much to learn. Is there any special questions to ask. We only have 2 or 3 here in our town. One of them is Pet Co.

| I tip (shave) the top 1/3 of my girls ears, but I do not pull hair from inside. They allow me to trim their faces and inside their ears with rounded tip scissors, so I keep them neat that way... I also wipe the inside of their ears with coconut oil (not IN the ear canal ) bc it's moisturising, treats skin infections, and has been reported to kill ear mites (we don't have mites, but it's good to know)

| So glad you posted this thread! I was just gonna ask about Jackson's ears... I prefer them tipped and clean looking. The last groomer left too much on his ears for my liking... like around the sides. I can't decide if I like them with more hair or totally clean. Picture #1 = "clean" ears Picture #2 = left too much hair, for my liking, lol. Both pictures were right after he was groomed. Then one groomer tipped WAY too far down and his ears looked HUGE... I just can't decide how to do Jackson's ears... haha they are so big either way! hehe

| Ok so the first pic is him with his hair pretty long, I love his face in this pic. I also love how the ear hair is. It is a tad bit too much tho, I can feel how heavy it is esp when I am giving him a bath and the water on the ears weighs his ears down haha! With the 2nd pic I also love his face, but I don’t like how it is so “ clean” looking. I love the messy look but I also love having long hair on his face. I think he looks like such a yorkie! LoL In the 2nd pic he wasn’t brushed LoL he just got done rolling in the warm laundry! Hmp I don’t know what to do about these ears!!

| I once went to a groomer who thought that tipping was taking all of the hair off the ears. Took so long for me to get Pippi's hair right after that one. She is in a full coat and taking all of the hair off of her ears looked ridiculous. Here is a picture of my Teddy with his ears tipped. I love the way my groomer tips ears....the hair is shaved only on the top third and nicely shaped down the ear. Note that all of the hair is not cut along the entire ear:
