| Coco likes to get up at 4am~ For a week Coco's been sleeping on the bed with me. However she gets up sometime between 4-5am and starts running around and napping at my hair and jumping on me! We go to sleep between 11-12 (more often 12). At first I thought she had to pee so I took her to her pen and she wouldn't pee! so I'd leave her there and I would go back to bed. I wake up and at 8am she pees. How do i get this little hyperball to stay asleep until at least 7am?

| Well, I just say "Jackson, lay down" sternly if he wakes me up too early. He knows better than to wake me up too early LoL. I like to sleep in. I know if he really has to go potty or not... depending on the last time I take him out, how much water he drank before bed, his type of bark, etc. So if he will just lay back down. But I would recommend a LOT of exercise before bed!!! We usually do a game of chase around the house before bed-time with his fav toys/balls. But he also gets a lot of exercise during the day.

| Work on wearing her out before your bedtime. If she is napping or relaxing all evening, she is likely to get up very early. That is my problem with my younger boy, but now he has a window to entertain him. He goes to his window perch at about 4 - 4:30 am. If I work at tiring him out the night before, he will sleep much later.

| I get up with my pups at 4:30 - I have been doing this with them since I got them three weeks ago. It works okay for me since we go to bed most nights around 9:00-9:30. The time we wake up until I leave for work at 7:00 seems to just fly by. I have told them to go back to sleep twice and I got a few sighs and they were quiet for about an hour. (they are conked out on the floor with me now!) Usually we have intense play time with me throwing a toy for about an hour before bedtime. I have a "special" toy that I keep put away for this activity. They love when the pre-bedtime toy comes out. They are soooo funny. All of the toys they have, and when I get that one from the closet they go crazy. Works for me. Best wishes. |
