YT Graphic Artist Donating Member | Let's Talk Car Seats I know we've had threads about this before, but there are always new ones out there, so I wanted to start the discussions again. I currently have this car seat: PetGear Soft Car Seat and Carrier | Overstock.com It works great for me because I have a convertible, and this one closes completely, so it's great whether the top is up or down. Plus, it's a pretty good size. The problem is, I have been through 3 of these car seats already! The zippers are not that strong, and they keep breaking on me! I have looked at the lookout car seats, which are nice, but I really wanted something that was closed. Has anyone seen any "heavy duty" car seats that are closed? Also, because I have several yorkies (and they are all different sizes) I considered maybe getting two car seats - one for the front seat, and one for the back. I even thought about those harnesses which attach to the seatbelt for the bigger yorkies, but again, I do not feel safe with the convertible top down. How strong are these things? Oh well, I am open to any suggestions. What car seat do YOU have - and will it work in a convertible?

| I purchased a Snoozer on eBay for around $80 and I LOVE it and so does Jackson. He is 16lbs and fits in a medium perfectly. His little girlfriend is 6lb Nala and she fits in it with him pretty nicely. They have a My Buddy Lookout seat that is bigger and could most likely fit 3 but that one, I've heard, is pretty big so not sure how well it'd fit in your car. This is my Jeep Patriot that it's in, which is not a huge suv/car, and it fits good. It takes up one whole seat. Here is Jackson and Nala in his Snoozer.

YT Graphic Artist Donating Member | Thanks Brittany. I like the Snoozer, but I'm wondering about clipping them in ... it looks like they have enough slack to stand up - and I'm afraid of that with the top down. My back seat is also pretty small, although the sizing of this looks good.

| I just got this one.... Pet Gear Large Booster Car Seat (Interior Measures 13" x 17.5") | Overstock.com Excited to try it out with my 2 boys this weekend, has pretty good reviews and I took it out of the box, looks pretty good. One thing I already noticed is I will have to shorten the leads so my boys can't jump out....Reesie will try! Lil Bugger!!! Viv

| Oh they weren't buckled in the pic! Lol. Sorry for any confusion!! You can tighten the belt as much as you want. We were stopped in a parking lot so they were just chilling in the seat voluntarily.

| I bought three snoozers for mine and the work great in a regular car but I'm not sure I'd like the use of them in the convertible. I would not feel they were safe. How about one of those bike-basket type of seats with the cage on top? I like the one sugarmamma bought for Sugar. Not sure if it could attach in the car but like that they couldn't jump out and such.

I understand Stacey's increased security need for driving topless (heeheehee) so, I agree this car seat would not be a suitable choice. However, I would just like to add that one of the best reasons we love the elevated seat that the Snoozer has to offer is because, they are always in full view while I am driving AND best of all, the elevated seat helps dogs who get carsick...like my BellaBoo! Oh yeh, and also...the dogs love to people watch when all the cars go by and vice versa...we get a lot of smiles in return!
