| My baby attack a st bernard! Well...kind of! Angus is my neighbhor's 135lb St Bernard. He is very well behaved and his owner always has him on a leash. Usually when Angus sees Brandi....the way he greets her is to get down own all 4 paws and they just sort of sniff each other nose to nose and then they both go on their way. They've been doing this at least for the last year so i don't get really nervous with Angus around Brandi. I did at first but not as much. Of course his owner is always with him and he always holds the leash with both hands. His owner taught him to get down on all fours around children and dogs smaller than him and to stay down unless told it's okay to get up. What's cool is he does it without his owner ever saying anything. For some weird reason, Brandi snaps at him....well of course Angus stands up and startled me and I immediately pick Brandi up by her harness. Of course sweet, kind and lovable Angus didn't do anything except yawn and stretch! He was just standing there wagging his tail. But that didn't stop Miss Thang from mouthing off. He just pretty much ignored her. It was kind of funny sort of like when something lighthly rubs up against you and you're like what was that and then ignore it and go back to sleep. Well that's how Angus was with Brandi. This dog is like a horse ! He even walks like a horse....you know that slow gait. I'm not sure what it is with her and large dogs but she scares the daylight out of me sometimes. She will not hesitate to run up to a dog 3 times.....no 10 times her size. If I didn't keep her little butt on a leash, I am sure she would of been dessert for one of these dogs. But check this out, let a dog the same size come up to her and she runs behind me for protection. Go figure. Yeah....talk about nepolianic (sp?) syndrome. She's textbook. |

| My daughter has a German Shephard. They came over the other day and the big dog came over to sniff my little Bailey. We didn't see what happened, all we heard was a yorkie growl and the shephard backed up and started to cry. I guess Bailey felt threatened by Lady. We are fortunate that Lady is such a coward. I usually pick Bailey up when I see a big dog coming towards us. I'll have to be more vigilant when Lady comes over, because we might not be so lucky a second time. |

I remember this one time when one of my friends brought over her 75lb boxer mix. We were going to the dogpark together for the afternoon. Well my friend came over and just sort of knock while coming in at the same time. Of course I didn't have Brandi on her leash because we were still in the house. Well needless to say, Brandi went charging for the boxer and it happened so fast I didn't have to time to stop her. Fortunately my friend had her dog on a leash. I swear it was in slow motion, while I was watching this, I thought Brandi was going to stop at some point and just mouth off but nope, she kept going after the boxer jump on her and then bounced right off. I was so shocked and scared but laughing hysterically because of the way she just bounced right off the boxer. Again as in the case of the St Bernard the boxer didn't do anything, I don't think she even noticed. After I picked up Brandi to make sure she was okay, my friend and I had a good laugh. I'm sure Brandi's little ego was slightly bruised.

| Boo Boo is small, even for a yorkie, and he ONLY "attacks" larger dogs. My neighbor has three Bull Mastiffs, and if boo is off his leash he runs right up to them, growling and barking at them (He's not aggressive, he just likes to sound like he is, and wags his little docked tail the whole time). They are very sweet dogs, but I worry about the size of their paws, as their paws are literally larger than my dogs head! I've now started to fear for the bigger dogs, because on more than one occasion a 5 lb yorkie has chased them out of his yard. However, he's been around lots of other small dogs (yorkies, malteese, s**tzu, and cocker spaniels) and he has no reaction to them, other than to pull on their ears. I don't get it, but it's cute to see because he looks so satisfied with himself when he chases the big dogs away! |

| i was at a street fair last year and i was walking Gatsby and a st Bernard come towards us very friendly and Gatsby jumps at him grabbed the st Bernards face and hung there by its jowls i was so embarrassed the owner is freaking out and screaming i get gatsby off and the woman started yelling at me about how if her dog had attacked my dog it would be put down but no one will ever say another word to me about this attack i felt so terrible i put Gatsby in training classes for dogs with "small dog syndrome" which is when a small dog thinks it is big and must defend its "property" like its human or home it is a very big problem and could lead to your baby killing itself attacking bigger dogs and cars and such it is not a laughing matter

As stated earlier, Brandi always has a leash on whenever we go outside for her protection. However, this one time an unfamiliar dog enter her "house" where she normally doesn't where a leash. It's not a laughing matter because they can seriously hurt themselves or even kill themselves. After all was said and done and we checked both dogs to make sure they were okay.....we couldn't help but to start laughing. Sort of like when someone slips and falls, you make sure they are okay then have a chuckle about it. I take every precaution when I have Brandi outside because I know she has some emotional issues to overcome(rescue dog and all). She has come a long way....she doesn't do too well when meeting a dog for the first time but she usually calms down after getting to know them. That is why I was really surprise at what she did to the St Bernard. She knows Angus pretty well, we even walk with him and his owner sometimes.
