Angus is my neighbhor's 135lb St Bernard. He is very well behaved and his owner always has him on a leash. Usually when Angus sees Brandi....the way he greets her is to get down own all 4 paws and they just sort of sniff each other nose to nose and then they both go on their way. They've been doing this at least for the last year so i don't get really nervous with Angus around Brandi. I did at first but not as much. Of course his owner is always with him and he always holds the leash with both hands. His owner taught him to get down on all fours around children and dogs smaller than him and to stay down unless told it's okay to get up. What's cool is he does it without his owner ever saying anything.
For some weird reason, Brandi snaps at him....well of course Angus stands up and startled me and I immediately pick Brandi up by her harness. Of course sweet, kind and lovable Angus didn't do anything except yawn and stretch! He was just standing there wagging his tail. But that didn't stop Miss Thang from mouthing off. He just pretty much ignored her. It was kind of funny sort of like when something lighthly rubs up against you and you're like what was that and then ignore it and go back to sleep. Well that's how Angus was with Brandi. This dog is like a horse ! He even walks like a horse....you know that slow gait.
I'm not sure what it is with her and large dogs but she scares the daylight out of me sometimes. She will not hesitate to run up to a dog 3 times.....no 10 times her size. If I didn't keep her little butt on a leash, I am sure she would of been dessert for one of these dogs. But check this out, let a dog the same size come up to her and she runs behind me for protection. Go figure.
Yeah....talk about nepolianic (sp?) syndrome. She's textbook
