| Give Away Yorkie Or Not?? HI: My cousin has a little gal yorkie, she's the one posted on my Avatar with my little guy Miko........This is the problem, she is constantly working and has no set time frame for work. Her little girl Mia is staying home all day by herself and sometimes all night!! She's feeling really guilty and loves her, and really doesn't want to give her up, but she is not giving her the attention she deserves. Of course, I would love to take Mia under my wing, but my husband absolutely does not want us to have another right now. I told her that she really needs to do what's best for Mia, what do you all think??

| As hard as it may be, she should give the Yorkie to someone who can provide more time and attention to the dog. Of course I thought of you first however hubby is running interferance, so maybe you can help her find her Yorkie a forever home. I personally would rather place with a person than a shelter if possible. I wish you good luck!!! P.S. Can you still keep working on hubby? Men may be the head of house but we women can turn the neck right or left. (a bit of encouragment)

| Its really up to her what she wants to do. But I don't think a dog should be crated or in a xpen all day long every day w/ no human contact or being able to run and play. Yorkies have alot of energy the need to run off! How long does she leave the dog alone? Where does she leave it?(xpen, crate, etc.) Maybe she could get her a friend so they could play together? Or if she does decide to find her a new home, we are looking to add to ours! Good luck in whatever she decides! |

| In my opinion she needs to hire a pet sitter or get another pet to keep her current one company. It would not be fair to uproot her and move her to a different home. That is hard on yorkies. They get stressed with change in their living environment. |

| What a sad situation for both of them. BTW, which is your sis' yorkie on the avatar? I know that these pups need that human interaction...it is a very hard decision to make. If she is seriously considering a new home for her, there are some lovely people on this board who can provide one. |

| i feel so bad for mia, she should not be home alone day and night. pets need lots of attention. if your cousin cannot take care of her puppy, she should give it to someone who will be able to give them love and affection... i bet she must love mia so much, but what kind of a life is mia really having... please have her do whats best for the puppy...there are so many people who would love to take her... my heart goes out to that poor little baby..

| I could not imagine having to give my my baby, but I do agree you do have to put your personal feelings aside for the best intersest of another sometimes. I sure she is having a difficlut time thinking about this! If she decides to find her a new home we might be interested!

| It's really hard to give up a furbaby, Maybe there is another family member who could take her. If not, I'm sure there is a loving home out there for her. It's not right to leave them alone like that, and over night too. I hope she works some thing out soon. Good luck!

| Thanks to all of you that have responded, I have tried taking her with me If you noticed before I posted a thread that I was babysitting, she stayed with us for about 7 days, because my cousin was moving. My husband played with her and stuff, but she has a total different personality than my Miko does and my husband really doesn't want me to have another right now. I live in an apartment and I will be building a house soon so right now we just don't have the room for another, as much as I would love to have one. I'm not sure what she is going to decide, I told her how I felt about it, and she really does love her, so I guess she will have to decide. I will definetly keep you guys posted. Thanks for all the imput. PS: For the person who asked who she was, she is on my avatar with my little guy, she is the darker one, she is really small, as is Miko, she weighs about 3lbs and she is really cute!
