| Flea Med? Hi everyone!! I just have a quick Qs - Do you give flea mediciation to your furbaby? If so, what brand do you use? Also, do you give them flea med all year long or just during the summer? I currently do not have flea problem on Chloe...but just don't want to risk it...I do notice she scratches herself sometimes, but not sure if it is just a normal dog thing or she is having problem?? Please advise. Thanks!! |

| Tatum and Stormie (our Australian Shepherd) get Sentinel for flea/heartworm and Comfortis. We have a pretty serious flea situation in our area and have learned that Tatum has a flea allergy. Thus the reason for using both products. We give one on the 1st of the month and the other on the 15th. And yes, nearly year round since it really doesn't get cold enough in our area to kill off the fleas.

| I use Frontline for fleas/ticks and Interceptor for heartworm protection.

| I use Interceptor for heartworms and nothing for fleas. I use Frontline Plus as needed (which is almost never). Of course this way you risk an infestation but I'd rather do it this way then give toxins every month for no reason. We do have our yard sprayed though and Ellie almost never plays in wooded areas, etc.

| I use Frontline and Intercepter year round. I don't know if anyone else does this or not but I do. Instead of soaking my little babies in the entire tube of Frontline, I split up the application. I use half on one dog and half on another. I have never had a problem with fleas and I've done it for years. Just throwing that in there. |
