| Ultimately, the best way to know is to see the parents!! But if thats not an option... How old is he? As puppies they all have the black and gold hair. I'd say, if he has a lot of white breaking through on his head, most likely he will have lighter head and same with the body if you see white breaking through the black (like roots). My girl Mia is very dark. She had absolutely no white breaking through the black as a puppy and stayed very dark. I'm sure you'll get more replies that explain it a lot better than I have!!

| I waited and waited and waited for Otis to break silver. Nope, never did! He's black as nite! I think you usually start to see silver at the roots on the head, but I'm not sure how old they are when it happens. Maybe around 5-6 months? By the way, I saw his parents and his mom was silver, his dad was black. Good luck!!

| Thanks guys! He has a little silvery blonde around his eyes right now. (hes ten weeks) and a lot of white on his chest???? i never saw his dad or his mom since my mom and boyfriend picked him out :/ |
