| Adding another Yorkie to my family Here goes... I'm adding another Yorkie to my family this Sunday! An 11 week old female who is ready for a new home. I haven't named her yet...I'll have to see what names fit her personality. So far I like... Mia, Sierra, Halley, Jessie, Lainey, Kasey, Keely, Kayley, Mesha, Nikki, Lexie, Kiana, Layla, Kylie, Gracie, Kellie My Zack is just over 5 months old and is going to love his new sister/playmate. Any suggestions on how to make the transistion for both of my babies easy? Zack usually sleeps with me...but I would like them to sleep in a bed together. Also, I keep Zack in a xpen during the day...will they be able to share that space? I'll have to feed them separately because Zack eats Nutro Ultra and the new puppy eats Iam's. It's going to be a wild adventure for me in the next couple of weeks! I'll keep everybody posted! Here is a couple of pictures of the little girl:

| I have no advise on how to make the introduction seeing as I only have 1 yorkie and a cat and they hate each other. but i was just thinking you should name her Kelly. Then they could be Zack & Kelly (from Saved by the Bell). I apologize if you've never seen the show and therefore wouldn't understand what in the world I'm talking about. but it my warped head I think it would be so cute. It's just how I work. If I get a girl I would like to name her Rory because Rory goes with Logan on Gilmore Girls. My husband tells me that i need professional help.

| WOW! She's absolutely BEAUTIFUL! It's really not difficult. Don't stress over it. They will do all the introduction work. When I got angel I brought her home to meet prince. They sniffed each other a bit and were fine. Obviously things worked out fine since they now have puppies together lol

| We are into day 5 of adding another Yorkie to our household. So far, so good. Sophie is *slowly* warming up to Daisy. They are at this very moment in the x-pen, sniffing and kinda playing. They both sleep in separate crates in my bedroom. I was worried that the new one would keep Sophie awake, but Daisy getting up at night hasn't bothered her a bit. The new one is doing really well with pee=pad training. Sophie will not use a pee pad, so I hope she will watch Daisy and learn how. Don't stress too much ( like I did!). Enjoy your new baby. She is adorable. |

| I really like Jessie for her. I think it fits her personality! Keely is really cute too though. You'll just have to meet her and see what you think!

| I am kinda worried since Zack is not really potty trained yet. He's not consistant (has accidents from time to time) and has a bad aim when peeing on the pads. LOL Plus he's so mischevious! (last night he attacked his puppy pee pad and "killed" it underneath the sofa!) Maybe the new little one will show him some manners! I'm praying!

| I worried about this when I got Lacey, very tiny, Chloe was 6 months old. It was not a problem. I just let nature take its course, the only time they are fussy is at night when they are tired of each other. It is great having a companion for Chloe. They play and play and play. I do keep them in separate kennels at night, next to each other, in a separate room from me. I thought I wanted one big kennel but since they are together roaming freely throughout the house all day, I think they just need their own space and down time at night. Neither dog has ever cried at night or not slept through the night, once they were old enough to hold their peepee. |

| CONGRATULATIONS on your new baby girl!! I can't wait until the day comes that I get a little girl. Is it possible to put your new baby onto Zack's food over time, that way your eliminating one stress at least? I'm sure they'll be best buds and sharing/wrestling over things in no time. Are you planning on neutering and spaying them down the road or are they going to have puppies in the future? Just wondering since you'll have one of each Good luck and keep us posted on her name and pics, pics, pics of course

| our boys seemed to get along from day one. Max the oldest still has accidents in the house and Milo has learned on his own to go to the door. in fact, we have a set of bells that hang on the door for them to ring and Milo the youngest learned right away how they work. Max just sits and looks at them they are great companions for each other and I can't imagine one w/o the other. I would love to get a little girl next year but I am not sure how they will react. Max was five months old when his little brother came to live with us so they were pretty close in age....3 months apart. I don't know if bringing another one in will be too much to handle or not ??
