| Male or Female I have a six yr old yorkie female. My good friend, is now starting to explore finding a puppy of her own. This is her first dog since childhood. She is 61 and slightly disabled. She needs a cane to walk. When she gets this puppy, she will be with him and her 24/7. Question is this; should she go for a male or female? What is the difference in terms of behavior? Is it true that males are more affectionate? Are females more independent, aloof? Do males after being neutered mark, hump? Which is easier to housebreak, male or female? Which is better for a woman who needs a true companion but isnt needy or insecure. Also, her do would be hanging with my two females. Is it better if she got a male or is it better to have a female. One more thing. My friend is not discipline oriented (she's been a cat person for years) but she is learning that she needs to be firm, will she be better off with a male or female? Thanks for your help. Angel |

| I do think males are more cuddly and loving. Also since some yorkies can be very hard to house break a male can wear a belly band in the house much easier than a diaper on a female IMO. I have both and for years I only had females but since having my males, I would choose a male any day. |
