Question is this; should she go for a male or female? What is the difference in terms of behavior?
Is it true that males are more affectionate? Alot of people think so but not necessarily
Are females more independent, aloof? Can be
Do males after being neutered mark, hump? Yes they can. It's better to get them neutered before they learn to mark or lift their leg. The humping tends to be habit after that.
Which is easier to housebreak, male or female? My female was easier
Which is better for a woman who needs a true companion but isnt needy or insecure.
Also, her do would be hanging with my two females. Is it better if she got a male or is it better to have a female. Depends on temperment and if they're all fixed
One more thing. My friend is not discipline oriented (she's been a cat person for years) but she is learning that she needs to be firm, will she be better off with a male or female? I think terriers in general need to know who's the boss. Maybe she should get an older dog, past the housebreaking stage. She'd be able to see more of their personality and know if they're going to be compatible.
Thanks for your help.
Angel | This was just my opinion and in no way "fact". I hope your friend considers everything before getting a puppy as they can be a handful. Also, are your girls Yorkies? If they are maybe she could observe their behavior. Good Luck!
