| Kids afraid of dogs.... There are a couple of neighbor kids who are deathly afraid of dogs, they scream and cry whenever ANY dog, even sweet ones come close, you would think that someone is trying to kidnap them from the screeching when a dog gets close!! I am babysitting them today and was pretty worried about what they would do with Pippin and Chowder, I locked the dogs up in my bedroom when they first came over so they (both kids and pups) wouldn't be scared. After about 15 minutes, the kids had settled in and I said, "ok, I'm going to let the puppies out so you can meet them"... Guess what! Those kids weren't scared of my babies at all!! Cheyanne the little girl who is 4 yrs, said, " I want a dog like that!" I am just bursting proud of Pippin and Chowder, they were so very gentle with the kids even though they are just puppies themselves! |

| My fiance's nephew was deathly afraid of dogs too. We didn't know this until I took him to my aunts and he saw their wienerimer (sp?) and was screaming, running up on the tables, totally crazy. We ended up having to take him home he was so upset, and the dog wasn't even in the same room as him! When we got Rocky he was afraid of Rocky too, but I held Rocky and had Sergio pet him, know Sergio LOVES Rocky and Bella! The test was one day (forgetting Sergio is afraid of dogs) I told him if he wanted to go to Petsmart with me, then I was like "oh great..." So I talked to Sergio, told him theres other dogs there but if he acts tough like Spiderman (or whatever superhero he was into at the time) I would buy him candy afterwards. Not one cry from him..I was soo happy!

| That is great! Maybe the parnets get nervous when dogs are around their kids- and they pick up vibes- or they had a bad experience! I got bit in the forhead when I was approx. 4 yrs old! I was scared to death of dogs for along time- except a very few I knew! I even had dreams about dogs chasing me and biting me untill I was about 12! Getting bit when you are little can be scary! I still remember that day! It was the first cuss words I had ever heard- and from my Grandpa! He was mad at that dog- and got rid of it to a family that had no kids!

| Oh yeah, I've had a ten year old boy scream bloody murder once when I was out on a leash with Bella. Then the parents gave me dirty looks for scaring their poor little 10 year boy!! lol

| Just because they gave you the dirty looks, I probably would've said something to them about raising their BOY to be afraid like that. I know it's not nice, but I hate when people give dirty looks and stuff like that when you do nothing wrong.

| my little niece was deathly afraid of lexi, thats because my brother had his yorkie at their house and they were running and of course the dog ran after her and i think grabbed her leg, just playing.. she got so scared. i had to show her that lexi is a good doggie and she dont bit so i held her in my arms and she came close to lexi and pet her.. that was the end of that, my niece get tongue kisses from lexi everytime she sees her..she just loves her to death... im so happy about that.

| You would hate my MIL she gives me those looks all the time. I dont even do anything wrong she just thinks she is the only one that can do anything. I was taking my daughter to Teen Court and she asked me why I was letting her do Teen Court. I told her it is so that she will know how the court system works and she just gave me the bigiest dirty look. I still have no clue what I said wrong. Sorry for going off topic.
