My fiance's nephew was deathly afraid of dogs too. We didn't know this until I took him to my aunts and he saw their wienerimer (sp?) and was screaming, running up on the tables, totally crazy. We ended up having to take him home he was so upset, and the dog wasn't even in the same room as him! When we got Rocky he was afraid of Rocky too, but I held Rocky and had Sergio pet him, know Sergio LOVES Rocky and Bella! The test was one day (forgetting Sergio is afraid of dogs) I told him if he wanted to go to Petsmart with me, then I was like "oh great..." So I talked to Sergio, told him theres other dogs there but if he acts tough like Spiderman (or whatever superhero he was into at the time) I would buy him candy afterwards. Not one cry from him..I was soo happy!
