| If she's had all her vaccinations she should be ok. Just dress warmly - coat, sweater, booties, etc.

| I think 16 weeks is a bit too early. I am sure she doesnt have all her shots and snow is probably too cold for her. Take her out for some fresh air, but keep her close, inside your coat maybe see how she reacts, if she starts shaking, you will know that she is cold. But I still think its too early. |

| Huh? My grandmother use to breed Yorkie's and this is the first I have heard that their god given coat is not enough for them to go out in the rain, snow sleet and other weather condition. I don't plan on gearing up my pooch except for show-walk through town. (we live on a mountain in the middle of nowhere and don't let her out for more then 5-10 Minutes.) |

| I've had dogs(big and small) for 50 years..Lived up in Illinois, where the winters were cold and we always had snow, you let the dog out to do their business, we never dressed them up to go out, and they all lived through it..What do you think people did years ago before all these doggie clothes started coming out??? |

| Mckenzie is 3.8 lbs and she shivers like crazy the minute she steps outside even if there is only a bit of snow, so I have to have her in 4 legged jammies, and a jacket. She still shivers, but it helps her hold in the warmth. |

| Little dogs will shiver, we had a 2 lb chihuahua growing up, I'm sure he shivered too, he would hurry and go out and do his thing and then come back in to a warm house. Yorkies have been around much longer than dog clothes.. |

| I think Kalina will love the snow. She loves the rain and she loves the cold. If anything, I think the cold energizes her because she runs around like a wild monkey in the cold. When it snows I'll let her test it out, but I won't let her out there for too long just to be on the safe side, since they're so small.

| The OP is asking about letting her puppy play outside in the snow, not just letting her outside to potty. Yorkie's are much different from other dogs when it comes to cold tolerance so comparing them with others breeds is like comparing apples to oranges. They don't have fur or an undercoat like the other breeds, so they cannot tolerate the cold. They have hair like we do. Putting them outside for a long period of time in the snow is like stripping you naked and sticking you out there Rule of Thumb: If it feels hot or cold outside to you, then it does to them too. To the OP: Sounds like you're a great Mommy to be so concerned
