| I used to give mine greenies, out here they have some that are almost like a crushed version. Turbo likes it, but I heard horrible things and I stopped giving them to my babies.

| I got the free one...don't remember getting a coupon though, and it seems like it came sooner than 6 weeks.. The greenies are new and improved, I always kept giving mine the old ones when they had them, I had never had a problem, the new ones won't hurt them, they dissolve, to where the old ones didn't. The only thing I don't like, is they don't last as long.. the lil bites) are the crushed ones, those can be given to dogs under 5 lbs., although I give mine the teenies now, used to give them petites. the lil bites I give to my puppies as they can't have the teenies until over 5 lbs or such and such and age.. |

| My Chihuahua, Chili died almost a year ago now from eating Greenies. One got lodged in her esophagus and went it dislodged it choked her to death. Please don't feed Greenie to your dogs. The new formula is only 3% more digestible than the old formula which killed I don't know how many hundreds if not thousands of dogs. My Chihuahua was eating the "new" formula and the Vet had recommended it to us after we spent $300 getting her teeth cleaned. He said to fed her one a day. She got to #39 of a bag of 44.

| The new ones are completely different, you can read up on them..They actually dissolve in water now, and they don't take half as long to eat...They really worked on getting them to where they were safe for the dogs..Mine love them, and I contribute to giving them, helping my yorkie have such good clean teeth for her age...has never had her teeth brush, and they still look really good at almost 5 years. Read up on the greenies, send for the new one and see what you think..Like I said, the only bad thing is they don't last as long.. |

| We have stopped giving greenies to our babies a long time ago. There was a big thing on the news about them. I forgot what happened though. No more greenies for us.

| Greenies did have issues with digestion problems before Mars bought them about a year ago. They have since been reformulated and are softer and easier to digest. If you remember the old greenies, they were very hard almost like plastic (you had a difficult time bending them). The new greenies are much softer. We give our Yorkies greenies and they love them. We haven't had any digestion problems.

| Sorry, but it seems some of you didn't read my post. My dogs died from the NEW formula. The emergency vet is the one that told me the new formula is only 3% more digestible than the original formula. You can even check this out with Greenies. I am putting this warning out as I don't want anyone to lose their precious babies, as I lost mine. I was holding my precious Chili and she died in my arms choking in front of my children. There was nothing I could do as the Greenie was lodged way down in the esophagus. None of the Dr is my area felt comfortable trying to use a scope on her. I was giving her a shot daily from the Vet to relax her esophagus and waiting for a "specialist" to get back to us. The specialist called the day after she died. This darn thing was lodged in her esophagus for a week. There was enough space for her to drink and eat.... until it dislodged and killed her. So much for dissolving. Are clean teeth worth death? I think not!!! For clean teeth I feed raw bones, much, much safer and does wonders for the teeth.

I am so very sorry you lost your baby. How terrible. Please NEVER< NEVER believe what you read. All these manufactuers care about is making money. Use common sence and talk to other's about any new product your thinking of giving your Yorkie. I feel the same about Nylabones. I don't care if they wrap them in 24k gold I would never buy another one. Almost lost Buddy because of those also. Greenies are a sure NO, NO . Too many dogs died from them. Word of mouth is always the best way to go. Better safe than sorry. It's a sample, I would toss it in the garbage when it came. I agree, raw natural bones is all Buddy has gotten for over two years and between tooth brushing, petzlife and bones there is no tartar anywhere. | |
