| Re-Adding a pee spot? My guys are getting very, very good about going outside to pee or poop. So much that if Rupert has to go while we are upstairs, he will go out onto the upstairs Patio, which I never showed him. When I have to leave them, I put them in an X-Pen attached to the bathroom which has a kind of litter box in it. For awhile, they were using the litter box. Now that they have grasped the 'outdoor' concept, they seem to eschew the litter box in favor of the floor in front of it when I am gone. I think my hold on "Outside" is still pretty fragile so I don't want to do anything to ruin that but I'd really like them to go back to using the box when I am away. Is the best idea just to ride it out and wait for them to catch on to it themselves? I find their learning pattern is like that: no progress -- no progress -- no progress -- and then, just when I am ready to scream, they suddenly 'get it'!!

| I've heard that you can put pre-grown grass, or sod in a crate type thing so they still get the jist of where they are consistently supposed to potty... grass. I don't know how inconvenient it would be to care for and clean up though. Something to toss around at least. |

| I've gone farther than that! My patio is interlocking bricks so I had a bunch cut down to 1/2" thick and have put that in their box. Like I said, it was working but has now stopped. However, i cam back today after being gone for 5 hours and there was nothing!! That works, too! Quote:
