| Do we need a book list posted? I was wondering if it is time to get a post listing the books we have read and get it stuck up so it available to everyone. I mean we all here that train or read ( oh that is everyone LOL0. I will protest any of the rough stuff and Alpha though just so you know. It was no place in training let alone aggression work. Also the link to clicker solutions as well as maybe Karen's site. I do not mind repeating all the time but others might be interested as well and not able to ask as they have concerns about admitting they mighty have an aggressive dog. It is not easy in the world to have a cranky dog. Joy |

| Oh Yes, PLEASE post good books and sites. I am 23 so I have never been responsible for training my own puppy and have too many questions to even know where to begin asking (don't worry, I do not have my puppy yet, I am researching first). I love reading about these things and trust experienced people’s recommendations. Thank you!!! p/s I called a TON of people today and decided to take a 2 hour drive on Sunday to go look at Yorkie babies with my friend who is picking up a Maltese. I am SO excited I'll probably end up hugging the poor lady. She is a vet (Dr. Mooreland) who was recommended, coincidently, by both my friend and another YT member. |

| I am in no way saying any or all of these books are useful but I enjoyed all of them and learned something from each one. They are not in any order of prefrences or usefulness. Please read them and use with care along with the advice of a behaviorist or qualified trainer of your choice. Yes I have read all of these and have more on order. Best of training Joy Don’t Shoot The Dog by Karen Pryor. On Talking Terms With Dogs: Calming Signals by Turid Rugaas. The Other end of the Leash by Patricia McConnell. Bones Would Rain from the Sky by Suzanne Clothier. The Dog Whisperer by Paul Owens. Click For Joy by Melissa Alexander. Click to Calm by Emma Parsons. Clicker Training for Dogs by Karen Pryor. Fight by Jean Donaldson. The Culture Clash by Jean Donaldson. Dominance Theory and Dogs by James O’Heare. Outwitting Dogs by Terry Ryan. Clicker Training for Obedience by Morgan Spector. New Work of Dogs by John Kazt. Getting Started Clicker Training For Dogs By Karen Pryor Little Dogs: Training your Pint Sized Companion by Deborah Wood Quick Clicks By Mandy Book and Cheryl S. Smith.
