Yorkie Yakker | HELP PLEASE!! 7 year old male newly marking! I really need help! My 7 year old has recently started marking our sofa and curtains. It all started when I found a lost dog in my front yard. I took the little dog in and kept him overnight (was going to get him scanned for a chip but it was raining so I postponed that for the next day). The next day as I was leaving to get the dog scanned, I found the owner (was a neighbors down the street). Anyhow, after having the lost dog stay over a night, my dog started marking. He is not neutered (please no judging), but he was always the best dog. Never marked, messed in the house and was fully house broken. I've never experienced anything like this. I even have another dog and she sometimes has accidents in the house, but he never even marked over her messes. He is my first dog and I love him so much. He is super obedient and understands no. When I've caught him marking and say a firm No, he immediately stops and rolls over. He then looks so sad and scared. I don't know what to do. I work all day so I cannot be there to catch and stop him each time. Any advice will be much appreciated. I have so much anxiety because of this and need to figure out a solution befor my entire house smells like urine. Thanks in advance. |

| Get belly bands. You may be successful getting the genie back in the bottle, but you have an intact male and that is their "job", to let everyone know what belongs to THEM. Your home and wherever this male pup goes, is considered HIS, by him! |

Yorkie Yakker | I've tried the belly bands for a week and he hates them. He looks so sad and while they work (he won't pee in them) they leave imprints on his penis. I feel hopeless, I just can't find a solution. |

| If they are leaving imprints on his penis then it's too tight. Take him out often & WHILE he is in the act of urinating, tell him GOOD BOY go potty outside. When you are taking him outside for a potty, tell him lets go OUTSIDE & go potty. After he's done his business OUTSIDE give him a treat as soon as you come in. |
