YT 500 Club Member | Madlyn's protest I just posted a video of Madlyn crying because we've sectioned her and izzy off because they won't quit messing all over the house. But her whining is extremely loud and that is sad and unnerving too. It's making my roommate crazy. And me too. And then poor Toby is either stuck on that side with them or stuck on the inside with no doggy door access and that sucks cause he's the only one who is potty trained . I feel like I'm punishing him too. This sucks. http://youtu.be/jBBXjuqzDMA. |

YT 500 Club Member | That's funny. I don't know what to do since I have two to train.. I suppose tethering Madlyn to me would be best since she freaks when I separate her from me. But then izzy will probably be extra mean to her out of jealousy. Ugh |

| When I had my pack of 3, they were all 3 years apart, when a new one would come home and paper training began I would think ohh no, the older ones will start peeing on the paper now because that's where the puppy goes. Lucky for me this never happened. It is harder when you have two to train and they won't use the designated area, unless you see them in action you don't know whose doing it. My puppies always paper trained fast, guess I was just lucky, but, I only had one puppy at a time, my older ones were all house broken. Good luck.

YT 500 Club Member | Well Madlyn was actually pretty good about using her puppy pad at first. But izzy hates puppy pads and since she won't use one and rarely goes outside, her influence has made Madlyn regress a bit. So we have started the tethering. It has been quite chaotic because Toby sees the leashes attached to the girls and automatically thinks we're going on a walk so he gets excited and by the time he calms down its time to take the girls out to potty ( which they haven't done on the leash once yet) and then that gets Toby all excited again. we left so I put them all in the backyard for a bit, so hopefully they went then. My problem is going to be my boyfriend . Getting him to tether them when I'm not there forcing the issue is going to be an issue in itself. I want to pull my hair out some days. | I see your prob. and feel your pain. As a kid my father always had dogs of HIS choice lol. I was married and my son was in school when I got my very first dog. It was a Poodle, I was so fearful of her paws being on filthy cement that I decided she would be an inside dog only. She lived to be 15 y/o. My next dog (mini Schnauzer) and every dog after her I house broke them, at that time there were no such things as pee pad, we used news paper, and keeping enough paper in the house was a real pain in the butt, so I house broke every dog I owed after my first Poodle. Dogs really do prefer to make outside, just get her on a schedule of when she goes out, be consistent with the times, she is older and not use to going out doors so it prob. will take longer. I know this has to be soooo frustrating. Hearing lil Madlyn screams brought back memories of my puppy days lol, heart breaking for sure. Good luck with your new plan.
