| Jumping Whenever anyone comes our little guy thinks that it is his job to make sure that he is seen and will jump up and down until we all have either petted him, or held him and usually with me holding him until the person leaves. Doesn't matter how much I get after him, he just jumps and we are talking at least waist high on some people. Does anything work to train them? He knows sit, but he gets so excited he doesn't listen. |

| Mine do that too. Amazing how high they can get isn't it? I've found that the best thing to do is completely ignore it. Don't even look at them...no eye contact even. Eventually, they'll understand that they won't get any attention when they act that way. When he's calmed down a bit, you can tell him to sit, give a treat & then give him attention. It took a while, but mine now know that when I walk in the front door, they don't get any attention until they're sitting. Good luck!

| I come home and ignore the pups until they calm down...I put away my things and get settled in...by that time they're normally sitting quietly, waiting. Toki does this pretty quickly because we started this with her when she was a young puppy...Teddy still takes a while to calm down...he is more high-strung at times...I swear he can spring up to above my waist! |
