| Trouble house training my 3yr old Yorkie help!!! Hello my name is Crystal and I am having trouble getting Molly to poop outside. I have finally gotten her to stop peeing in the house, but it was not easy or cheap. We had to replace carpet in two rooms cause she peed all over them. Now I have to get her to poop outside not in the house. I will take her out every half an hour and walk her around for 10 mins and she wont go potty, I bring her in and as soon as I take her leash off she runs into my 5yr olds room and poops on her floor. I then started putting her in the create after I brought her in if she didnt go outside, I'd leave her in there about 20 mins take her back out and bring her in again and she would either run to my daughters room or run downstairs and go. Anyone have any ideas, my husband is getting sick of it and I know what he is thinking, but she is my baby and I will not give her away! I would be so lost without her . I will take an advice that anyone has. Thanks for reading this sorry so long. |

| I also use the crate to train, only difference is she doesn't get freedom in the house unless or until she goes outside. Here's what I do: wake up and take her out. If she pees and poos she has 20 min freedom of only two rooms. Kitchen and living and only bcs they are attached. I lay blankets down in the living room to act as a barrier. After about 20 minutes we go outside. If she does her business she gets 20 more minutes inside. If not I'll crate her for about 20-30 min then try again. If she goes then she can play inside. If not, back in the crate. Initially they spend a LOT of time in the crate but it's teaching her that she's only allowed to go in ONE place. It's also teaching her to hold it bcs she doesn't like to "go" where she sleeps.
