| Play Pen Area? Our puppy is 12 weeks old, just got her this weekend. She's alot of fun. Our house is pretty open, lots of places to get in trouble and we don't want to have to watch her 24/7 when we are cooking, showering, etc. Does anyone use a doggy play pen? Any recommendations? I was thinking about using the pen at night as well, putting her in the crate with the door open to sleep, and she can walk out and pee/poop in the middle of the night as needed on pee pads.....(as opposed to whimpering at 3am and requiring me to take her out. Thoughts? We don't mind doing the work, just want to be practical. |

| I'm doing exactly what you're talking about. I have the play pen surrounding her crate with the crate door open. She comes out to pee (still working on the poo) on the pee pad when she needs to. My goal is to train her indoors due to the cold Chicago winters so it works out perfectly. Also, when she's being overly hyper and biting everybody and everything I put her in the playpen for time-outs. Great investment! |
