Thor's Human Donating Member | Maybe he is trying to make sure he doesn't need to go in the crate? Kind of the same principle as making kids go to the bathroom before a long car ride. Is he pad or outside trained? Can you just take him to his poop spot right before crate-time? Alternatively, maybe he knows that if he poops, the ensuing hoopla and clean up will keep him out of the crate for another few minutes. Good luck. I am tearing my hair out with Thor!

| Cleo is my first yorkie, but i have 2 "big" dogs that i have successfully crate trained (and so far it has been pretty good with Cleo also). I always associate the crate with something positive i.e. a treat. I just throw a small treat or piece of kibble into the back of the crate and she runs in after it. |
