Max is eating the wall!!! Just found out that Max is eating the wall.. Its a corner wall and his little teeth are going right through the paint etc.. Max has tons of toys, rubber chewies, rope chews, rawhide chews, tennis ball, rubber ball etc etc.. I had to do something so I ended up yelling very LOUD at him when I caught him last time.. He sure got scared and ran to his sleeping area and jumped on one of his bone.. What can I do about it? I have ordered a play pen for the little guy which I will get in a few days but I dont want him to "be in jail" all day.. He must be allowed to run around the house to see whats going on and have fun for sure.. Any suggestions? Max is about 3 months now so he is not teething yet.

| try a Puppy Kong with a little creamy peanut butter in it. I freeze it & give to Stormy when I leave for work. She had a bad chewing problem as a teenager puppy - chewing the sheetrock out of the walls.

Max is abusy little guy... NO he cant' be chewing on the wall... I found out that Suzi like to bite on a frozen Ice pop. I think it feels good on her teeth. She does not bite through it either, because it is so cold, she just likes the feeling of the ice. I take it away from her after it melts, but she gets a little bit of free chew time

try getting him a marrow bone....that will keep him busy and satisfied....also keep his teeth clean!! Two of mine chewed the wall when they were little pups! They grew out of it, but we had to replace some drywall and wallpaper in the bathroom! Good luck!

I'm having the same issue with Cassiopia. She's about 6.5 months old and just recently started to chew on the corner of the wall, I think it's b/c her adult teeth is just coming in. I sprayed some Grannick's Bitter Apple Spray on the wall, but it only deterred her for a few days. I woke up this morning and to my dismay she chewed off all the paint on the lower corner of the wall. I resprayed the wall again and also yelled at her. I'll keep you posted if this curbed her of her bad habit.

Mine never ran around the house till they were totally house trained for months, then I kept a close eye on them for months more. Even now they don't have the house when I can't take them with us. Your baby has too much freedom, and chewing the wall sounds like boredom. Maybe you shouldn take him out for wagon rides or put a basket on the bike and take him for rides that way. They are not unlike little babies. They need to be kept busy, and handing a toy isn't the answer. Keep him in an expen and give him a 1" thick raw femur bone to exercise those baby teeth. Take him outside every hour to potty and play.
