| ? on what you use during dog obediance class. They don't allow harness I went there tonight to watch thinking about taking the boys. All of the dogs use chock chains. That is what they would like all dogs to use. I told the instructor that i won't use them. He said there is other yorkies and they used them. So what did you use.

| Our instructor was totally opposite! She recommended not to use choke collars! And for sure harnesses for little ones! I would look into another training class if the instructor will not allow harnesses. Our instructor even went so far as to bring in her own dog's harnesses to show and let one dog use it one night.

Donating YT Addict | My trainer had all the dogs in our class with choke collars wrap them around the belly then thru the collars so it acted as a belly harness instead. I only use a harness on Ozzy. I would find another trainer. ..

| I concur. My trainer does not allow choke collars in the puppy class. She recommends some kind of collar with a thing that goes around the nose for the larger pups (labs and a huskie), but for the little ones, she said use a harness. When saying this, she even explained that little dogs have soft tracheas (sp?) so I that gave me a lot of confidence in her. All two of us in the class with little dogs use harnesses and have no problems because of it. |
