I concur. My trainer does not allow choke collars in the puppy class. She recommends some kind of collar with a thing that goes around the nose for the larger pups (labs and a huskie), but for the little ones, she said use a harness.
When saying this, she even explained that little dogs have soft tracheas (sp?) so I that gave me a lot of confidence in her. All two of us in the class with little dogs use harnesses and have no problems because of it. |
