| Toilet Training a 3 year old I have owned my 3 year old Yorkie for 2 weeks. Previous owner stated that this dog had a peeing accident "once in a while". Well, it has been more than once in a while. Today while I was in the living room with him, he lifted his leg and peed on the couch. He had been walked 3 hours prior to this incident. He has also peed several times in the kitchen on other occasions while I was out of the house. He is normally walked @ 7:00 am, 1:00 pm, 5:00 pm, 10:00 pm. Any ideas on how to get him not to pee in the house. He is still intact, but will be neutered in the next few weeks. |

| neutering should help...until then I suggest a belly band. They're very helpful and remind the dog not to pee until it's taken off. There are lots of YT members who make really cute ones! |

| Are those the only times he gets to go outside? You need to make sure he goes out more often OR crate him in between. Don't let him have free roam unless he's peed in the last hour. Also, there is a difference between marking and house training. If he is lifting his leg on your couch, he is likely marking. Belly band him or crate him until you can get him fixed. Then you will have to work on training him NOT to mark in the house. Good luck!
