A friend of mine just saw her kennel name, pictures of her dogs, website all advertised on puppyfind for an ad for a dog. The only problem is that she has not listed any dogs. If any of you place ad there, please make sure that they are not being used for others than yourself. It's been reported but it's still a shame...

Very sad; incredible. I looked at the ad, and they were wanting only $450.00 for a female of obvious high quality. Crazy. . . also if they are trying to pass off those pictures as 9 week old puppies. . . well, obviously those pictures are 9 week old puppies.

Good catch; glad your friend spotted it. Hopefully no one has lost their money to these criminals yet.

i was looking at the site today. i could have sworn someone is using TY's picture and posting him as a female. background was different but it looks like exactly the same picture I have posted on here before. that picture was never on there altho i do sell my puppys there sometimes. it has only been on here.

I have sent an "interest" e-mail to them and am going to play scam the scammer...

However, the e-mail that I have received from them is NOT your typical "scamming e-mail" it wouldn't be very hard for a new puppy owner to get trapped into this pretty much "professional" e-mail.

I'm wondering if they stole this e-mail from your friend, as well??

Hi folks! I would like to take the time to thank Theresa for posting this for us!...We have been working very hard to prevent anyone from losing any money or having their heart broke due to this scam!

We did contact Puppyfind Immediately and they have removed the ad and banned the user...The email used by the scammer was an email that they made to closely resemble our email addy..These scammers took the time to read several of our web pages and incorporate the info into their return email...

This is unfortunately another example, of being very careful, and the buyer needing to beware--talk to the sellers, get a mailing address, double check everything.

Sorry this happened but it is again a reminder to all of us.

We also sent them an email and recieved the same email as you!..We went a step further and returned their email telling them we were interested in purchasing their girl...They sent us the following email!

Yes, those are pictures taken from our webiste of our dogs!...We tracked them from our website and they are from Nigeria...They spent time there again this eveing taking these pictures!...We posted a warning on our front page of our website...We Hope nobody got scammed!

If anyone knows how we can take any further actions against these people we would love to know how!...They stole our pictures, our words and worst of all are out there trying to take folks are earned money!

I would definately be wary of anyone that only uses western union or money gram for payment. Also any time they will "get your package" ready as soon as they receive the payment is a red flag to me. I am sorry this happened to this breeder and it goes to show that we all need to keep an eye out for these losers that have nothing better to do that scam innocent people that are just wanting a little puppy to love.

I fell for this scam once myself. I was so anxious to get a cute little yorkie over the internet. Supposedly from Brooklyn, NY. I lost $900 and never heard from the guy again! The Western Union lady I talked to over the phone even warned me it might be a scam, but I didn't listen. So be very wary of anyone wanting you to use western union or money gram.
