| pregnant gal lost appetite my little gal is 54 days today. She stopped eating her dry puppy food about a week and half ago. All she has been eating is wet food mixed with chicken. now, she is down to eating only boiled chicken. Will not even eat that if anything else is mixed at all. i have tried everything. drove an hour almost to the vet today to pick up some supposedly great wet food, she wouldn't have it. Went to tracter supply and got more cans of supposedly great wet. went to krogers, bought more. bought several premium chicken breast and cooked her a huge one. She ate about two tablespoons of that. But, according to the vet, that is only okay for a couple of days and she needs dog food. i am at my wits end. Any suggestions other than mixing something with the chicken? That just will not work. i don't mind cooking her breasts everyday but she needs more. She isn't acting sick or anything. Just doesn't want anything but chicken breasts and her pet tab.. Thanks. |

| When my Emilee quit eating for a few days, I put her kibble in the food processor and made crumbs and then mixed it with cottage cheese. I then started adding a few kibbles to the crumbs. Slowly her eating got back to normal and she was fine.

| You have to be careful, you don't want to upset her tummy. I have found that some Nutri-Cal fed for a day usually has them a little more willing the next day to eat. It is a touchy time. Make sure she is drinking. A scrambled egg won't hurt her either. (no butter or seasonings). You'll make through and so will she. Try not to be too nervous around her or paniky about her not eating. She'll pick up on it for sure. Please keep us updated |

| Try the scrambled egg. Trust me, she won't starve herself to death. It is normal, totally normal that she doesn't want to eat a lot right now. They sure can make you a nervous wreck |

BANNED! | Dee will she eat some nutri-cal at all or nutri-stat even??? Sometimes this makes them get abit more hungry to eat. If she will atleast eat this with the chicken then she will get some more nutrician then plain chicken. Oh and maybe get that stuff I told you about on the phone for her food too. |

Solid Gold makes a powdered bone meal. You can sprinkle a little of that on her chicken to get some calcium in there. Will she even eat Cesars or anything. I feel your pain. Chloe frequently will go on eating strikes that last a few days at a time. I have had to learn to just wait it out. Of course, she's never been pregnant, and that adds another dimension to it. Have you tried another kibble? Lots of picky yorkies love Royal Canin. I feed Chloe puppy 33, but they have another puppy one called baby dog that is supposed to be softer kibbles. | |

| I have used the Flint River Ranch and Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lover's Soul. The Chicken Soup is what I have used recently. I have squished a scrambled egg in it with my hand and she wasn't sure which one she decided she wanted and didn't want (because I am quite sure they have YOU in training at this time) and therefore gobbled it all down. If she isn't running a fever and is acting normal in all other areas (running, playing, drinking, requesting attention, etc), you shouldn't have anything to worry about. The pups are probably moving around quite a bit and getting ready to get into position. I will keep checking in and hope you find something that makes you both happy. |

| i guess a better question, since I have tried all your suggestions and more, would have been: Do you think it is okay that chicken is all she eats. At least she is eating something |
