Have you tried giving her Esbilac? It's good for pregnant and nursing moms. | |

| I know what you are talking about,Like Julz said some nutrical usually helps I will give some right away in the am for the one who is not eating or not eating much,it is not unusual for your mom to have a loss of appetite at this stage and we worry so much that they are not eating at all or enough. Mine love Salmon right out of the can or you can fry and make pattys out of it add a little egg and some cracker and fry.My husband laughs for when my moms are not eating I make a buffet. My mom just had 6 pups we were expecting 5 and I was worried the last week she hardly ate at all, well no wonder her tummy was so packed full she had no room for much food. She kinda went on a veggie diet the last week carrots ,apples fresh green beans, asparagus, salmon and that is about all she would eat and I tried everything and I mean everything,my vet laughed and said she was grazing he was not concerned about it for she was getting vitamins and nutrical also.Mine do not like cottage cheese or yogurt so she was put on calcium tablets here after the pups came.Mine would not touch eggs either. It is not uncommon for them to have upset tummys the last weeks also,a friend of mine raisies boxers and shows them her females have morning sickness the last week or so off and on.(vomits and will eat hardly nothing) She is feeling okay besides not eating much? How many pups are you expecting? You can always make up that pudding recipe and see if that will tempt her also, mine will not touch it until they have deliverd. I was chuckling reading you r post about driving for good food etc,For I have drove an hour also for some supposidly good food she would eat and have spent alot of money on foods to make then went through a flurry of making it all to have her turn her nose up at me .With almost a disgusted look on her face like yuck you want me to eat that! It is not uncommon for them to have upset tummys the last weeks also,a friend of mine raisies boxers and shows them her females have morning sickness the last week or so off and on.(vomits and will eat hardly nothing) She is feeling okay besides not eating much? | Have you gotten your baby to eat? I am having the same problem and don't know what to do. My momma has 5 day old babies and won't eat anything but a little chicken. She has refused hard food since she was 4 wks pregnant but I could get her to eat Science Diet canned puppy. After the puppies were born she would only eat pieces of canned food a couple times a day when I layed it on the bed in front of her piece by piece. Was just wondering if you have had any luck? My vet said to force feed A/D with her pet tab if not eating but she can't sustain nursing like that. I was hoping you have had some luck?

| Two in the oven that is cute. Our x-ray showed 5 and we had 6 to our suprise which is way way to many pups fo her I have been supplementing them and all are doing good.If she only has a couple maybe she dosent need to much right now.Mine went on a grazing here a few days before she whelped only wanted veggies and fruit, watermelon green beans asparagus etc,she would not eat it out of the can it had to be fresh, she was getting puppy food and vitamins etc,but she needed something for that is all she would eat or maybe it sat better on a upset tummy also. I do know a lady whos females (boxers)have morning sickness kinda the last few weeks they do not wawt much and puke off and on? Maybe try the pudding after she whelps. They really have to be coaxed sometimes to eat, our pups are over a week old and mom still wants me to hand feed her. |

| Glad to hear your girl is eating again. Is this the 4+ pounder? 2 puppies is great, sounds like everything's going well. Boy time flies I can't believe she's almost ready. Best Wishes on her whelping. I'll be out town, me and my sister won a contest and are being flown to the CMA's on Monday. But I'm bringing my laptop and knowing me, I'll be checking in on her. |
