A beautiful dog.. but really stupid? Please dont get offended. I mean no harm. I just speak the truth as I see it. I bought a high pedigreed yorkie. Shes really pretty. She is from champion lines. I didnt buy her yesterday either. I have had her quite awhile. She is my daughters dog and she loves my daughter. She lets my daughter pick her up, she is like a baby really, she sits on her shoulder like she is on a pedestal. My daughter is completely attached to her. And Lil Miss to her. I raise yorkies. They are docial. They sit pretty when I groom them. They give me not one minute of problem. They are laid back, they are not nervous dogs. I have requests for her pups but why? To me she just isnt very smart. Although she is very pretty, she is really quite stupid. She wont conform. I think I will stick with my original plan. Health and intelligence. Beauty is only skin deep and Lord help ya beyond here.

Look for the whole package! I think it's always best to have the "entire package" whether you are human or pet. Good looks are not so good when there's nothing behind the eyes. They aren't quite so attractive anymore. You want looks, smarts and personality as well as health and a sense of humor and fun!! Dogs or people.

| I'd take smarts over beauty any day with dogs... but a nice balance is required with men

Lol Well with every prance Simon takes you can hear the one marble in his little head rolling around. He doesn't do tricks, he isn't a show animal.... he's just silly little yorkie monster who enjoys to eat and play with his porky ball. Sure he's not the smartest dog I've ever had, but inquisitive, curious and simple in his little way. Lol to each his own I imagine. Jeni

stupid What does she do that makes you think she is stupid? You say she won't conform..to me that is a smart dog! LOL Won't sit still for grooming..that isn't an intelligence thing. Remember, you can breed in the traits you want..and you need a good foundation bitch to do it...pedigree and conformation. I have never meet a truly stupid Yorkie..to me stupid is one who can not find the food dish, gets lost in the yard, really dumb stuff. Personality quirks are different IMO...did you see Oprah and the Dog whisperer. Tell me more about her, this is interesting too.

I thought I had a stupid Yorkie once, but she proved me wrong. I honestly haven't had one really stupid. Stubborn yes but not really dumb. I think they give you what you put in and expect from them. The one I thought was stupid was really just sucking up to her daddy and it worked every time. I guess I am going to have to shake them and see if I hear more than 1 marble in there. LOL
