Default JudaBob Line anyone?

I was just looking at one of my pedigrees and noticed the JudaBob. Seems Ceeby is third generation and I already knew that Silk is first generation JudaBob. they both came from very different locations so I am wondering about this JudaBob stuff. i know Silk has old championship lines but i don't think it is on the JudaBob side. Anyone ever heard of JudaBob? Thanks

I had a bitch that was out of Judabob. My Isabella, she's retired now. Judabob is known to be longer in body, a little head strong, and bigger from what I was told. I only had 2 litters out of her. The one male is 4 pounds at maturity the other is 8 pounds. She pretty much fit the characteristics of the Judabob lines. She is soo pretty. You can see her on my website in the Friends & Family page. She is living with 4 other puppies from my breeding program.

Sorry I can't be more help.

thanks Irene. i wasn't sure which forum to post it in. I "googled' JudaBob and got kind of excited when I saw all the champion and grand Champions and etc. I had no idea Ceeby had it. he doesn't have a long body yet. Actually he is nine by nine. He is seven months old tomorrow and already weighs 3.9 so I don't know if he will stay small enough to breed to Silk or not. She weighs exactly five pounds and is built small. Only has two pups each time, easy labor and good mommy from what I have been told. I may have to hire her a stud. There is a three pound male with good lines here in my town. So with the JudaBob, do i have a pretty decent foundation?

I can only speak of my experience but I had a wonderful experience. The only prob I had was my bitch had problems conceiving, I have not heard that being an issue in the line. Her mom had 6 and 7 pup litters and she was only 5.5 pounds..free whelped all the time. Izzy is 5.5 too.

Good luck!

My Chloe has alot of Judadbob in her.I just recentley had been researching about Judabob.Chloe was a very easy whelper and she is a great mommy.I have also heard Judabob has bigger dogs, which my Chloe is 11 pds.So I think she may get that from the Judabob lines.

Where can I look to research. I can purchase a five generation from AKC's online store for 10. but you can't print it off. A hard copy, ordered online is 32. so I might have to do that on Silk and Ceeby both. Ceeby was sold to me to mature small altho they really can't tell and I was a little disappointed when he quickly hit 3lbs but he has really slowed down his growing the past two months. So maybe he won't get over four or four and a half pounds. If he does, I won't be able to breed him. All his "kinfolk" that I saw were under five pounds, most a three or less than four. Silk, ist generation Judabob is five pounds. Seems like her body is a little longer than Ceeby is. I haven't recieved her pedigree yet but it was on the regular registration paper that I sent in to have transferred.

Thanks for your reply.

I will have to really check into all this but I can tell you this my Bug has Judabob lines and he weighs a little over three pounds. He is a very loving little stud and throws beautiful smaller pups.

AKC has closed their stud books to outsiders who were making great pedigrees with lots of info. If a dog were entered before 7/04 (I think) there might be a chance of getting good info..
I have 7 gen. peds on some of my older dogs and they are wonderful. They include breeders, owners at time animal was entered in stud book and coloring, etc..I have a 5 gen ped on Remi (my parti) with his pic on it..

Money, money. I have inquired about seven gen. peds from the company that does my husbands Beagles and was told, "We are only doing Beagles at this time and unfortunately, soon will not be able to do those. AKC closed the stud books in 2003."

I looked at AKC.org and you can purchase a five gen for ten dollars but it is only online and can't be printed off. If you want the hard copy, you have to pay 32.00. We had recieved a questionaire a couple of years ago from AKC asking if we would like to see the pedigree service expanded and would we be willing to pay. So we knew something was up.
