| Best Breeders in MA? We are looking for a Yorkie pup and leave near Boston. I went to visit Denise at Country Home Yorkie earlier tonight and came home to read some really unsettling reviews and comments on this site. If she is not a good breeder, can someone please recommend the best breeders in the area? Thank you! |

| Yikes!!! If you've only looked via internet search, Country Home always comes up first. She is a well known and poorly regarded broker, and not just of Yorkshire Terriers. She's a clever salesperson. My favorites: Cheryl Kroll of HiHopes, Sturbridge, hihopesryk@verizon.net Donna Plumpton, Jubilee, Manchester NH Beth Faunce, Fairhaven MA These are people I know personally who I would not hesitate to purchase from. Last, but not least, you should have a look at my puppies: Susan Dodge, Clover Hill Yorkshire Terriers, Lawrence MA, www.cloverhillpups.com I have great dogs, great references, lovely puppies, lousy salesmanship skills, and I'm fussy about who gets my puppies. I give you all the facts and information, no slick presentation. If you examine my puppy as if it's inanimate merchandise rather than interact with it, I will likely not sell it to you.

| We got our Presto through Susan and i have only gotten compliments from everyone on him. He is super friendly, awesome temperament, healthy and offcourse all the features of a top quality yorkie. I would recommend getting a pup from her any day with my eyes closed. |

| Hi, All of the breeders that Susan suggested I have heard good things about. However, I would also suggest you speak with Susan first. I have met Susan a few times and had the pleasure of watching her show Izzy (her new Champion) at a dog show. I have also been to Susan's house and can attest her dogs are well loved and taken care of. Good luck in your search! Kerri

| I bought Teddy from YTCA breeder Cathy Cardia of Shenanigan's Yorkies in Billerica and I am a very satisfied buyer. Cathy has 25 years of experience breeding yorkies. I have a high opinion of her and would recommend her.

| Hi, I got my boy Maxx a few years ago from a local breeder and could never be more pleased, he is everything i ever hoped for and much more. I know about 8 more people who also got their yorkies from the same breeder and all live locally as they do not ship, but you are not too far and will be fine. If you want their contact i can sure pass on my great experience. i have referred them before and only heard same great experiences, also i met a few other yorkies from them on a local tiny and toy dogs meet up we used to have at a local dog day care. I always do their referral as i feel a great experience must be passed along. Good Luck to you and your search .

| Hi, I'm Yasmin. I am also interested in Shenanigans, I also live in MA. Can you please send me Cathy's Contact Info such as her phone # and her website. I couldn't seem to find her website online myself. Also, I would appreciate it if you could send me her address. Thanks so much! |

Of course, I'm up here in Lawrence, not too far from you, and have puppies available now and again in October. I keep away from the YTCA stuff for my own private reasons, but I think any of the above breeders will vouch for me, with Beth having the least direct knowledge of what I have and do.

| I am not of help but i am sure "MagigGenie" gave you all the details you needed. Due to some personal priorities i am currently not involved with other local breeders or showing, i will love to some day. I keep my ears open and have heard good and great things about some of the breeders mentioned here and other people we can dismiss comments on their practices. Thank you BELAMIA, for your kind comments and a few others , i come here every so often... than life gets crazy and i do not have the time so i do not always see the comments. You are a Sweet heart ! give my baby a few hugs for me ! A blessed day to everyone else ! Forgot to mention, if you read the Salem News today, Topaz, Salina's girl is on the front page on a dress contest ! Cute to see it. XOXO

| Hi Susan, I sure disappear from time to time and i am keeping the invitation at heart. As you know a bit of my personal life you know i have excuses to justify my behavior. besides i am little too reserved to my own most of the time. Belamia is an old friend, her dog is at least 5 or 6 i am not too sure. She has sent me so many referrals through the years, she is a sweet person. Today one of my girls in in the front page of the Salem news. In a dress contest i think, i sent my husband to buy me the paper so i can read about it. I am blessed to have made some good friends locally. I promise i will come over , but i know you have some gorgeous yorkies! You know, we may have dogs related as i have some Brazilians with Argentina blood, who knows? I am glad i was able to help you on the import process. XOXO

| I have a perfect boy i got from smartpuppiepets years ago. I have passed the good experience on and will continue to give them a great review every time i have a chance to do so. As it was mentioned, we are now good friends, but i also want to mention that we became friends after i got my yorkie from them. I know a few people who also have their beautiful dogs and not one of them had a different experience from mine. This tells me a lot about a breeder. I can only say that i have read here many times that you buy the breeder first and then you buy the dog or puppy and this is very well said. Whoever is looking for a healthy, balanced and beautiful yorkie can always send me a private message and happily i will give their contact. They are a family of great breeders with a lot of respect not only towards the dogs they produce but also the families that get to take them home. A great experience needs to be shared. Good night.
