| Animal Testing by Mars While doing some research I ran across the following and I have to ask myself Why would any organization/people that care about animals use a company that does this to animals???
Please be warned the following 3 videos are very graphic and will show the death of animals and the blindness of animals for cosmetic reasons or to help sell more products: Animal Testing by Mars Mars Veterinary launches Wisdom Panel Professional Clearly this family doesnt care what happens to animals but only how much profit they can make off of them. I hope everyone thinks twice before buying any of their products. Donating YT 500 Club Member | I will call them and voice my opinion - this makes me sick! You would think in this day and time any mfgr knows there are other ways to test products...and if there isn't, do we really need the product? I saw nothing on the list that really is of medical benefit?

| WHat bothers me about these kinds of ads is that they are using pictures and video's taken of other animal testing. Some of those are very old (1960's), and they are the same images used for a lot of other animal rights video's. I happen to know for a fact those beagles were not being used by MARS, but by a dog food company. i am NOT saying animal testing is good or bad, I have my opinions about it but it is a very wide spectrum of [my] opinions.. I do not believe any animal should suffer... But what I am bothered by is the misuse of pictures, media, etc by not even using pictures from the actual company doing the testing.. I hope that makes sense, I haven't slept yet. |

| I did some checking and found out that Mars funded some medical experiments at some universities to test the healthful aspects of chocolate & some of the chemicals found in the cocoa bean. |

| Mars is NOT just a candy company. They are a world wide company that owns many divisions. If you look at the list I submitted there is not one of their dog food/treat/hospitals that are of the highest quality for our pets. Mars makes dog food and it is not high quality food. Mars, Incorporated - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia From May 1, 2007, many Mars products made in the UK became unsuitable for vegetarians. The company announced that it would be using whey made with animal rennet (material from a calf's stomach lining, and a byproduct of veal), instead of using rennet made by microorganisms, in products including Mars, Twix, Snickers, Maltesers, Bounty, Minstrels and Milky Way.[20] The response from many thousands of consumers, particularly the Vegetarian Society's request for UK vegetarians to register their protests with Mars, generated a lot of press, and caused the company to abandon these plans shortly thereafter.[21] It has reportedly decided to switch to all-vegetarian sources in the near future in the UK.[22][23] In January 2008 the Metro newspaper reported that Mars had allegedly begun to incorporate animal derived rennet.[24] Mars has come under criticism by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals for funding animal tests which the group alleges are inhumane, including a study regarding angiogenesis and spatial memory in which mice were force fed catechins, a candy ingredient, compelled to swim in paint, then dissected.[25] Other experiments involved life-threatening cardiac puncture of mice with inadequate anesthesia. These experiments are not required by law. PETA alleges that their only purpose is to promote increased consumption of Mars' products and that harmless tests can be done on humans. I will always applaude PETA for bringing to light inhumane treatment of any animal. While I will never endorse some of their tactics if we didn't have PETA in this world, more animals would suffer at the greed of corporations.

| Propaganda Propaganda is a form of communication aimed at influencing the attitude of a community toward some cause or position. As opposed to impartially providing information, propaganda in its most basic sense, presents information primarily to influence an audience. Propaganda often presents facts selectively (thus possibly lying by omission) to encourage a particular synthesis, or uses loaded messages to produce an emotional rather than rational response to the information presented. The desired result is a change of the attitude toward the subject in the target audience to further a political agenda. Propaganda is neutrally defined as a systematic form of purposeful persuasion that attempts to influence the emotions, attitudes, opinions, and actions of specified target audiences for ideological, political or commercial purposes through the controlled transmission of one-sided messages (which may or may not be factual) via mass and direct media channels. I do not want to turn this thread away from Mars and the lack of respect they have for dogs. If you want to take your dogs to Banfield and feed them Ceasar dog food and give them a Greenie for a treat that is your right.

YES peta is propaganda (talk about animal killers) and that is to make it that nobody should own animals, including what feeds us! They do not want us to eat meat or use ANY animal products. This is always been their goal and it is very well known and publicized and admitted by the heads at peta! When did I say I take my dogs to banfield, feed the ceasar or a greenie?? LMAO..where did that come from? | |

| Maybe you need to look at the other side before judging me for my opinion (based on truth). You don't think the president of peta telling the public to shut these places down, or burning them down if you cannot get them "free" is not terrorism?
