Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | The Kiss-E Cone Collar aka : soft collar I just receive today my Kiss-E Cone Collars from Bo ( Mom to Hotrod ) I have a 17 month old male showdog that I've been trying to keep in wraps . My problem is that he chews out his wraps, I've tried everything :bitter apple, plastic over paper etc. I read about the Kiss-E collar on a thread and thought...Hey ! This might work for my problem. My concern was the velcro closer,I'm afraid to use anything with velcro on my kids as they have full coats and velcro massacres the hair. When I inquired about the collars I asked if there were collars with snaps or alternate closures, also I wanted a satin fabric as it's easier on the silk coat of a yorkie. Bo asked if she could try to come up with something for me. Today I received my collars, they are perfect. I put one on Sebastien when I left to go to the store.I was omly gone for 20 minutes,I thought this would be a good test run. When i returned everything was still in tact. I will gradually leave it on for longer periods when we can't be around to watch him. This is a great product,it's comfortable and because it's custom made...it fits well. Now I won't have to worry about Sebastien chewing his wraps out,it also prevents him from scratching his facial furnishings....a bonus that I didn't think about. Here are a few photos that I took today of Sebastien wearing the Kiss-E Cone Collar Thanks Bo for a great product, I would highly recommend this for anyone in need of an Elizabethan collar, it's so much more comfortable than the hard plastic collars. I wish this product was around when Beatrice broke her leg. |

| Thanks for the pictures Carl. Looks like Sebastien is making out well with the collar. Glad that it's going to work out for what you were looking for.

| Aww, how did Miss Bea break her leg? Just curious, what kind of closure did Bo put on the kissy collar? We are huge fans & Bastien gets even more gorgeous every time I see him!

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Beatrice broke her leg when she jumped off the couch, about a year and a half ago, just a couple of weeks before her 1st birthday. We are so careful now with both of them. She had to wear a collar when we left her alone so she wouldn't take the bandage off. She is perfectly fine now....we have a wonderful orthopedic surgeon. The closures are like 2 straps that fir through 2 D-rings and then snap on to themselves. By the way, I took a chance and left the collar on for 6 hours, while I was at work. I was a bit nervous about it ,but when I got home it was still on,and no wraps were touched ........yippee !!! I am so happy, now he will keep his wraps in from week to week.I used to just keep him wrapped on the days that I was home, but even when we'd go out for an hour or two he'd take about half of them out.Beatrice leaves her's in and never bothers with them. Thanks Jenny and yes Nancy, now being beautiful doesn't have to be painful LOL great phrase !! Thanks again Bo,I'm really liking this collar !!!! |
