				   | the reason we like to have pictures...or AT LEAST an acknowledgment that they opened the presents and either liked them or hated them...is because we spend a lot of time and energy trying to make sure we get stuff or SB will like. I'm not saying that pictures are a "must"...because each circumstance is different. but to hear wether or not they enjoyed their gifts, in my book, is common courtesy. I am one that posted that my SB went M-I-A and she got super offended because she was sick. it was a good couple...if not several weeks after she got the box before she actually read my thread and then posted pics. she got very offended that I could possibly be upset that she didn't post anything about it. She posted that she received the box, and said thank you, but that she hadn't opened it yet. then that was it. I never knew if she opened it, if she liked or hated what we got her...or anything. so she is now very ill about the whole thing. and I am left thinking..."don't i have a right to know wether or not she even opened the box?? or if she liked what I spent a lot of money and time on??". I know that she would have felt the same way had her SB not posted about her gifts. It's all part of the excitement and fun of it all. I am participating in the next GE. I loved it. I had a GREAT time shopping and the anticipation of what is to come is the best part of it. the "hints" are soooooooooo fun. and seeing so many people excited and happy and coming together in a friendly manner is something I really am looking forward to. I hope that this time, it does not get ugly for anyone. It really should be a fun time. I can't wait to see what precious baby I can shop for next

				   | This will be my first GE and I'm excited. I plan on taking a lot of pics and I already have some ideas for what to give. Just wondering though - what are "hints"?

If you go back and look at some previous threads in the GE people would open new threads with hints for their buddy. Here are couple links to the hints I gave http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=79447 http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=77565 They are a lot of fun and gives everyone a chance to guess who might be their secret buddy!

				   | I am waiting until I know i have enough cash to spoil someone pets like you all do. I think its awesome that you guys go all out. I am not really into posting pics and if i participated I know i wouldn't post any pics. I do know that I would post at thread with a huge thank you! I would prolly send pics to the sender if i had them available via email. Once i do participate I wouldn't be offended either if my receiver didn't actually post pics in the forum to share either. I am greatful for the pics i have seen because that gives me an idea of how much is needed to be spent. I do have one good question, is there a set amount to spend like 25$ and above. I always wondered because you guys are such great givers. I do know that when i give that its about the giving whether i get a thank you or not or receive anything back in return. . |

I hope if you decide to participate that you change your mind on posting pics- IMHO thats part of the fun. Here is the rule on the $ amount. Personally, I spent way over $20. 4. Price Ranges - There will be a suggested minimum spending limit of $20.00 so that everything can remain fair and noone will feel like the spent too much and received too little, or vice versa! This is the amount for actual items for the Gift, shipping will be additional (usually from $5 to $10 depending on the size and weight). If you want to spend a little more (or a lot more!) on your buddy, you may do so but please do not expect that in return! YorkieTalkers have been known to be very generous in the past. It may be out of the goodness of your own heart to do so.

				   | Pepe Mint I didn't think your MIA thread was in poor taste. You spend a lot of time and effort in finding things for your buddy, and I believe you should atleast get a thank you, and if no pictures then a list of what you received.

				   | Is the 50 dollar donation a new rule? I thought as long as you donated your 25 dollars you could put two of your babies in the GE. I don't have enough to donate another 25 dollars plus spend money on a second set of gifts. Can someone explain this to me. If this is the rule I'll have to pick one out of my three to participate.

				   | From the way I was told that it was $25 per dog. But its just that one time fee. I paid $50, and I asked admin if I could put both of my babies in it and they said yes. |
