| Isn't there some things you're not supposed to put on the package for shipping? Like things that will get ripped or stuck in machines or whatever? Anyone heard of that? |

I was in line at the PO once and this woman was trying to ship a box that had wrapping paper on it. It was not a good wrapping job. The postal worker kept giving her "looks" and had to tape almost the whole box... so it ended up not looking nice at all. | |

| OK...here's the best info I could find. If you buy a pretty mailing box that has nothing stuck or glued to the outside, you will be okay. You could wrap the box INSIDE the mailing box, or...write on the outside with colored markers, NOT STICKERS. You can use colored tape to seal it, etc... Just be careful that the label is clear and legible and there is nothing to come off into the machinery, etc... If anyone else heard anything differently or can add to this, please post that info here. Hope this helps!

| " Thanks " Judy for the info and everyone else also. I was thinking of using those colored permant markers to decorate my box a little. That way if for some reason the box is out in rain before the GE buddy & his family would get it, the ink wouldn't run on the box.

| The tracking number cost about $10 more over here so I never got one. Is that ok? I would rather spend the extra money on gifts rather than a tracking number. I don't remember how much the insurance cost. For stickers, the last time I didn't even think about the pop up stickers falling off. The lady was real nice and put tape over them. I guess different places have different rules about stickers. I bought stickers for this time too. Btw, don't be shocked if they give you weird looks when u take a decorated box Also, they always ask if there is food. I always say no (not a complete lie because they are treats and not food ) Why do they ask? Should I tell them there are dog treats or tell them no? |

| Did you get a delivery confirmation number? I would pm ADMIN and see what they tell you if you didn't get that at least. IDK about food....anyone else know? That's a great question.

| Food Shipping: According to the USPS guidelines, there are two kinds of food for their purposes...perishable and nonperishable. If you need to know about how to ship perishable food items, just go to the USPS website. Nonperishable items are those items which will NOT spoil. This would include dry dog treats, cookies, candy, etc... So, if what we ship is nonperishable, then we have nothing to worry about. I think they are asking the question about food to make sure you aren't shipping anything perishable. Those items need special handling. Some even need to be refridgerated. Hope this helps.

| Well, and "techically" dog treats aren't considered "food" by anyone other than dog lovers!
