| Out of country shipping... Just a little suggestion for those shipping out of country for the gift exchange: if you mark your package as a gift (which I'm sure you'll already do since it is a gift lol) the person you're sending to won't have to pay extra duty taxes.

| Just one more note about cross-border shipping: PLEASE DO NOT USE UPS. Any other courier or the good ol fashioned post office is better. UPS charges outrageous customs and brokerage fees, even if it is marked as gift. It's legalized extortion. If you don't believe me, read this: http://www.epinions.com/bsrv-Office_...ion_list/pp_~4 |

UPS is definitely the worst for cross-border. It does arrive faster than any other service, though... But, I just got a package marked as a birthday gift that was marked as worth $50 (carrier from another YTer) and I didn't have to pay fees??

| canadian postage In my experience, if you ship to Canada from USA and mark it as a gift it has to be worth $10 and LESS to not pay any import fees. Anything above $10 and they still have to pay fees. I use USPS global but there is no tracking there. They do open and check to see what is inside a lot of times. It is always better to be honest and not get your receiver in trouble by underestimating the value. Cant' wait to get my BUDDY! This is going to be fun no matter where it ships! ...Linda |

| If it's marked as being $19 or less, it's okay. But once it hits $20 value, it's already over $10 in customs/duties (for me and I'm about 2 minutes over the border - literally) I can see the on ramp for the US/CA bridge from my house.
