The next YorkieTalk Gift Exchange, YT GE XXVIII, our twenty eighth Gift Exchange, will take place in May2012. Remember that the person you are giving a gift to MAY or MAY NOT be the same person you are receiving a gift from. You MAY or MAY NOT be paired with a Yorkie of the opposite sex. There is no official theme for this GE.

Effective January 2012, we have revised some rules of the YorkieTalk Gift Exchange. Please be aware of the new rules. Please note that the new minimum has been raised to $40. Here is the link to the GE Rules & Regulations:

We suggest you use the US Postal Service to mail to Canada or a non-USA address (as UPS and Fedex charges additional fees).

Also, please note to mark your item as a gift, and please do not claim it as more than $50, otherwise your Secret Buddy will have to pay import taxes on it. If you have any questions about this, please contact us. Thank you!

- You have 250 or more posts here at YorkieTalk (before you sign up in this thread).

- You joined YorkieTalk before January 1, 2012.

- Please do NOT send your Secret Buddy any USED toys or clothes. Re-gifting a new item you may have received is fine, but any USED items are not allowed.

Please do not sign up unless you are CURRENTLY a Donating Member.

Please note that the spending minimum is now $40 for your Gift Exchange gift (this does not include shipping), though if you choose to spend more on your Secret Buddy, you may. Please do not expect anything more.

Here is the YT Gift Exchange Rules & Regulations. We now require all participants to be Donating Members (members that have donated $25 or more). If you are ALREADY currently a Donating Member (your usertitle shows Donating Member), this does not apply to you. We must receive your donation before you may sign up for this Gift Exchange. If you want to enter two Yorkies in this Gift Exchange, you must have donated a total of $50 or more.

Here is the YT Gift Exchange FAQ.

Please note that you MAY receive a secret buddy in Canada (if you are in the US), and you MAY receive a secret buddy in the US (if you are in Canada). Be prepared to pay a few dollars more in shipping costs if this is the case. If you receive a secret buddy in Europe or overseas, there will be extra shipping costs, thus you will be reimbursed roughly $19 for the extra shipping. We will reimburse you via Paypal or cashier's check after the recipient receives their gift. Also, to save on shipping costs, you may want to keep the package "lighter".

If you are not in the USA or Canada, there is a $20 shipping fee to participate per Gift Exchange. Your Secret Buddy will be reimbursed this $20 fee after you have received your package. This covers the extra costs of shipping international.

This thread is ONLY for SIGNUPS. Do not post any questions or anything else besides sign up in this thread. Please PM us if you have any questions.

You must already have your Yorkie (if you are a new Yorkie parent) by April 1, 2012 to participate in this Gift Exchange.

The signup period will end April 30, 2012. You will receive your Secret Buddy information within THREE DAYS after the end of the signup period. If for some reason you sign up and can not participate in this Gift Exchange, you MUST notify us before the end of the signup period.

You may send gifts starting May 1, 2012. The deadline for sending out gifts will be May 31, 2012.

Please note you must post a "Thank You" thread to your buddy within 2 weeks of receiving your package, unless you notify us in advance (family vacation, emergencies, etc).

We are careful with treats since his sister Jada has severe allergies to chicken and grains...so we limit treats to those that do not contain chicken in any form and that are grain free. Clothing: Bevo and all is fur siblings are in FULL attire at all times,,,,Bevo Is my 1st furchild and goes EVERYWHERE with me, so he is always dressed for success!! I love to dress him from had to toe...literally...I Absolutely LOVE outfits from DOGGYDOLLY that have pants sewn into the shirts...He looks soooo cute!!!!

Yorkie's favorite colors - Beev is a traditionally colored yorkie (which sounds weird, but since I have a blue born (white) yorkie, I have to say that!!) so he looks great in all colors!!! I guess he doesnt have a particular favorite and is soooo easy going but his mommy and daddy LOVE the Texas Longhorns which are burnt orange and white,,,but he also looks great in blue, green, brown, red, etc....

Ok... Dont kill me... Im gonna list things that I wish our buddy will also list!!!!! So...for things that we would love to have,,,,,,,

Honestly, Bevo doesnt NEED anything!!!!... But, since we are doing the GE... there are some things BEvo would "like" to have !!!

Beds: We have SOOOOO many...BUT... We ordered a YHR cloud nine bed for our last buddy and it was sooooo cool!! Bevo and his fur siblings fell in love with it!!!! I wonder if they could make one in LONGHORN fabric???????

Clothes: We have so many clothes..although our newest furbrother Jaxon likes to dismember all of our clothes, some fun play clothes may be nice!!! But I like to dress my crew FROM HEAD TO TOE!!!!

Stuff:... OMG..Momma has drooled over so much stuff!!!! We LOVE the buddy belts and have never tried one.... Maybe Bevo could have one of those for himself?? Or..something else??? Bevo is a mommies BABY!! A new harness or collar or leash....or anything....

Misc: We always LOVE to try new Shampoo and Conditioner!! Softness is always as issue!! Bevo does have eye allergies which we havent pinpointed...but we do have our precious blue born "Mack Brown" who we always look out for..but he is a trooper as well''''his turn next time if he is still with us.....

Clothing Style: Simple and comfy. T-shirts and T-shirt style simple dresses. She doesn’t like velcro.
Yorkie's favorite colors – No particular preference on colors. Mylee is light colored so darker or bright colors look great. We love most forms of animal prints.

Yorkie's Favorite Toys, Snacks, Clothing style - Sophia does not really like toys. The only snack she can have is a Himalayan chew...she LOVES these! She is a total girly girl and LOVES wearing dresses and bows!

Yorkie's favorite colors - Pink and brown are the colors of her pretty bed and she looks looks good in them. But, honestly, we love ALL colors...and leopard prints too!

Does your Yorkie wears bows? If so, what size and what backing do you prefer (bands, barrettes or alligator clips)? Mikki is so different from Rosie. She is not much of a bow wearer. And we just had her bangs cut short recently. I have purchased a few in the past for her and they were the 3/8” and had alligator clips. I do like to use the tiny claw clips some on Mikki.

Toys - Mikki loves small soft toys with squeakers in them. She does not like the hard rubber toys at all.

Snacks - She is also a picky eater. I am so sorry! She does like odorless bully sticks. Please nothing from China at all.

Clothing style – Mikki is not the real girly girl. I have tried but it is just not her. Clothing style I would say she prefers comfort over fancy. T shirts, t shirt dresses, etc.


Yorkie's favorite colors - Bright colors! She has a lot of dark hair on her body so I like to see her in the brights. Hot pink, lime green, red, etc. We don’t care! Any color really!!

Mikki uses Yorkie Splash and Shine and Yorkie Sheen for her coat. I have found this works best for her.

I do not know of any allergies for her at all. Just that she is a picky eater.

She does use a harness for outings. And she only has one right now.

Mikki has some teeth issues and we plan to get a dental this summer. However, we have been wanting to try some of the CET pet dental products to help.

Mikki is a big time daddy’s girl and we are huge Arkansas Razorback fans! So we love anything Razorback!

Mikki will love anything her buddy sends to her. Don’t stress over it! Just have fun and she will love it!!

So far Curri Bee doesn't like toys either. She is also very picky on treats. We need a brush that is good with cotton Biewer hair . , (Isinis # 240 or wooden pin brush sold here)We also use Cowboy Magic and CET Vanilla Mint toothpaste. Wanting to try Spa Lavish facial scrub (for the pups)
107Barney knows our style in washable pee pads (ALWAYS LOVED) and Tshirt dresses. Curri may still be growing, but right now she is exactly the same size clothing wise as Sugar Baby.

Yorkie's Favorite Toys, Snacks, Clothing style - Fave Toys: loves loud squeaky toys and toys with plastic bottles in them; snacks: he eats caesar softies treats and LOVES LOVES LOVES bully sticks from bestbullysticks.com. I get him the 6" ones and he'll chew the odor or odor free ones; clothing style: would love to dress him in some hawaiian shirts for the summer and def some tank tops.

Anything extra I want my Gift Exchange Pal to know about my Yorkie (please mention anything your Yorkie doesn't like or doesn't want or can't eat) - he's allergic to plastic....i think those new Beneful Baked Treats give him tummy aches....i do not give him anything rawhide and I do prefer organic treats but we have been having success with caesar softies treats and greenies...i do a lot of training with yorkie yummies that are made by a YT member here! we'd prefer no more beds unless it was a cloud 9 bed...genie can NEVER get enough of cloud 9 beds lol right now he only has one harness with rhinestones on it so he gets mistaken for a girl a lot haha he LOVES his bandanas made by Bo (yt member: Mom to Hot Rod), and with his billions of toys, he could use a toy box; other than that, have fun with it, Geno really isn't that picky. He's just excited to be in the GE for his birthday month!!!

Yes.. Remy wears bows! I like the clips over bands. Small bows are best for every day wear.

We like all colors.. Pink and lavender are favorites, I love animal prints too. I love sky blue...and combinations like pink and green..get the picture

I do love to dress her up.. Boots and bows!
I also love t shirt type dresses... Like normarae68 (sherry) makes!

Favorite toys... Toys that can be thrown and make squeaks! Only treats I give her are the yummiest made by Lisa ( sugarmama)

Toys- Juicy loves all toys but small toys that fit in her mouth and squeak are her favorite.
Snacks- Juicy eats soft natural/organic treats and will not eat biscuit like treats. She loves Zukes and Bully Sticks.
Clothing- Juicy loves to dress up in dresses and pajamas.

Yorkie's favorite colors - Juicy loves all colors. We seem to follow a pink & brown theme for non clothing items.

Juicy could use a new harness or retractable tape dog leash. She would also love to try a YHR Cloud 9 bed or any of your must have grooming/oral care products. We love anything with owls and cupcakes on it. She also loves anything personalized. These are all suggestions, she will truly love whatever her SB sends. Just have fun!!

Yorkie's Size of clothing (The common size you usually buy: XS, S, M, L) - She doesn't wear clothes (sometimes pjs) but could use a birthday dress (even though her birthday isn't till December) I usually go by her measurements.

Does your Yorkie wears bows? If so, what size and what backing do you prefer (bands, barrettes or alligator clips)? Trixie wears 5/8" bows with alligator clips.... we let her topknot grow out over the last year or so. She wears small jaw clips (made for us humans) to keep her hair out of her eyes except for special occasions..no rubber bands (they tend to pull her hair)

Yorkie's Favorite Toys, Snacks, Clothing style - Trixie likes toys that squeak and small stuffies that she can carry around. She eats Fruitable chewy snacks, Zukes chicken z-filets and minis, etc. (nothing from China please) I try to keep her snacks organic and healthy.

Trixie cannot eat bully sticks and does not like himalayan chews I know, sad but true. She could really use a new step-in harness and I would love to try the "choke-free" or the "buddy belt" harness...and maybe a fabuleash. Trixie loves her cloud 9 bed and could always use another or a special Cha-Cha basket to put all her nice things in. Trixie will love anything you take the time to send her...she is a special girl and wants her buddy to have a great time in this ge! It's all about fun and friendship!!
