Donating YT 500 Club Member | I sorry Yorkie buddies but all I know for real is that my secret budddy is not 1) Miss Christina's Dexter 2) Miss Sarah's Maddy 3) Miss Anne's Princess Gracie 'Cause my Mommy said it's different from last time (I had Christina's Fletcher and Miss Sarah & Maddy had me) and Mommy said my buddy lives in the lower 48 and Miss Anne and Gracie are in Canada right now. Mommy's be real tight-lipped this time since she said she spilled the beans last time. I don't know nuthin about no spilled beans. Hmmmm...you think she meant the spilled foam beads that she called sty-roe-foam? Mommy says no company that sells to pets should use those beans (or maybe she said peanuts or popcorn...I 'member it was something to eat). Mommy said a pet company should know better! I just know that Mommy goes into overdrive when they spill out on the floor....arf arf arf! (It's funny to watch!) |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I almost forgot this clue. Mommy said that our team (TN Vols or Lady Vols) has played at least one team in our SB's state. Of course, with two round ball teams and one pointy ball team, this clue may not mean too much unless you know which team wins usually. LOL That might give it away.... (We have a new football coach this coming year but has Phil Fulmer or Bruce Pearl or Pat Head Summitt ever been in your state coaching their TN Vols or Lady Vols or met any of your state teams in a tournament? It's quite possible they played your team out of either of our states.) |

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Wow Taffy, you and/or your mom sure know how to give clues well.........you don't give it away, but you sure keep us reading, interested, and coming back for more. After reading through all of your posts here, I think Halle is still in the running as a possiblity of being your SB. The only one we are clueless on is the sports related one...........my mommy and I know nothing of sports. Can you at least tell us if that clue leaves us in.........or kicks us out?

So we just looked up the sports history. Anyone from Texas is more than likely out because as best I can tell, no Texas team has played the Vols in regular season play in YEARS. There are a few basketball games way back. I can't find any football game. Even if they weren't playing a Texas team, I only found one time where they came to Texas. I am not a sports nut but curiousity got the best of me. I think we are out but would love some confirmation.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | LOL... Mommy says she doesn't know for sure either but she asked Daddy who knows all kinds of TN sports trivia. He says TN has played Texas A & M and maybe even Texas Tech. We played Nebraska in a bowl game. Frankly, Mommy said she does't think that clue really excludes very many since we play basketball almost everywhere and we've even played UCLA in football! To be safe with the clue, she didn't specify sport, year, or regular season or bowl on purpose. That way it's very likely only one or two MIGHT be excluded but she said don't even count on that...LOL As far as not knowing much about sports...don't feel bad. Mommy said she didn't even know the name of the state team when she married Daddy. Now she's a fan by marriage...LOL. She said she'll go check, too. She also thought maybe we'd played Baylor in women's basketball. Back later with an easier clue... |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Oh yeah, we've had teams play TX teams and Nebraska teams. Just Google TN vs. your state and it will pull up stuff. You don't even have to read the article. Our Lady Vols kick off this season against Baylor...this may be a first but we have played other TX teams in football and in women's basketball. I have tried so hard this time to get past the first week without my buddy knowing who I am 'cause of the clues. I'm afraid one clue may have been too direct though. I'll just have to let Taffy continue to grab the laptop and leave some vague hints. I think she does better than I do anyway! |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Dis is Taffy again. Mommy says just to Gargle our state and your state but I think she already told you. Here's what I overheard today and I think it may be the most telling clue yet! I heard Mommy say that our buddy has seb-lings. I'm not sure what that is but I don't think it's catching. Mommy had a happy voice when she said it so that means it's a good thing to have, I think. I gotta go 'cause Mommy and Daddy are watching football right this minute. That means I can have some free time to get into stuff while they're not lookig....arf, arf, if you know what I bark...wheeeee! |
