Donating YT 500 Club Member | Oh no, I'm not Going to check for a PM every 30 minutes or so this time! Yeah, right! I know that it will more than likely be Monday before we find out the name of our secret buddy. That, my dears, I know intellectually. However, just like it didn't keep me from shaking Christmas presents as a chld, knowing that the name distribution is coming soon won't be enough to keep my hands from the keyboard or stop my eyes from checking for PM's. I have no willpower whatsoever. Grrrrrr...however, I will admit that this wait is sweet pain.....LOL |

| Admin has not closed the thread yet for the GE... So does that mean we have to wait the few days from midnight last night or when the thread is closed... Just wondering... :P

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Yikes! I hadn't noticed but I bet it's from when they close the thread. Of course, I have no real idea but I"m always game to guess...LOL After all, I have a 50-50 chance of being right! I'm trying to exercise my willpower and I'm already feeling the pain. However, this is my first check back since I first wrote the first thread post sooooooooo....... Compared to the last GE, I'd set a personal record...LOL |

LOL Let the record show that I had seven (7) (seriously, 7!) PM's last night plus one friend request, and 2 picture comments sooooooo... I was quite busy in the PM section. Of course, every time I saw something pop up saying I had a PM, I just had to check to be sure that it wasn't a message from Admin. Actually, I found a couple of people in my area who have Yorkies, too. Their babies are still in the process of getting shots, etc. but they are close enough for play dates so I'm hoping I've found some friends for Taffy. I guess then to answer your question....hmmmm, counselor, that would be 10 times I've checked PM's ... LOL

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I just remembered and in the spirit of full disclosure... It was a few more than 10 (but that total I don't know) because sometimes that PM message doesn't go back to zero very quickly and I have been known to click on it again just to discover it's the same PM I just read. LOL Now, aren't you sorry you asked? LOL Oh, and that doesn't even touch the times that I "accidentally" close the wrong window and lose Yorkietalk momentarily and have to start all over again. However, I have only looked at this thread a couple of times because this post doesn't count since I never really clicked out of it......right? It is considered the same one, right? I thought so...LOL...and by the way, I'd rather be sleeping. It's one of those nights (early mornings) when I cannot get to sleep because my short nap yesterday afternoon took longer than planned. |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | And another thing, Robin... What in the world are you doing up at the crack of dawn? Girlfriend, you should be sleeping! Ohhhhhh...I bet it's the puppies... I think I need to see some new photos plus pics of the birthday boy. Okay, I'm going to watch the movie August Rush for the third or fourth time in the last week. (It's on HBO On Demand but we have the DVD, too.) I've only seen it about two or three times before and I have officially declared it my favorite movie for now. I love the music and half the time only listen rather than watch. If you've never seen it, it's a must see, I think. Something about it (the music, I think) just touches my soul and it doesn't really have any religious undertones unless it's reconciliation in a symbolic manner. It's just a really, really great movie. |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Oh my goodness, oh my goodness... I just had to come back to say this because I know someone is reading this...LOL I get some of my best ideas when I'm just chatting and after I thought about what I'd written about just listening to the movie, I had the bright idea (it took a long time to come to me but) to see if there is a soundtrack.... There is!!!! Woo Hoo....so now I'm going to treat myself to the soundtrack of what has become my favorite movie because of the music...LOL I love presents even when I buy them for myself...LOL |

LOL, Sarah ... then I would have two! I ordered it as soon as I left the thread. Taffy gets being spoiled from mocking me, I'm afraid. In spite of my age I still pretty much follow the "I want it and I want it now" mentality. It's just a good thing that the things I "want" are usually a book or such. However, there was that one time I asked to drive my husband's new car to work and he flippantly told me to get my own. (We'd only been married 4 years and his was the first new car in our marriage. The car he had when we married had a stick and I had never driven "his" car since I only drive automatics. The new one was a gorgeous "automatic" and so sparkly new...LOL) That afternoon I called him and started the conversation by saying, "Guess where I am!" (LOL) I enjoyed that new car probably more than any other one I've owned but it was not a well thought out purchase to say the least! Young and foolish? Yeah, but it made it interesting every time we wondered whose car we were taking on a trip! We've never had two new cars at the same time again which is a good thing but he did learn that I don't react well to being told no. Although it was an unusual reaction on my part since I was 35 at the time. I think I might have been reacting to the whole "you're not the boss of me" or something. It was one of the craziest things I've ever done since I'm usually a very grounded, "serious" person. I prefer to think rather than being a rebel, I was trying to teach him the importance of sharing...LOL (Gosh, I hadn't thought about that escapade in a long time!)

Donating YT 500 Club Member | At least we know the thread is closed which means it's that much closer to being announced! I never even noticed before that they closed the thread but of course, it makes sense...LOL I think Kim is the one who pointed it out...or maybe it was Linda. Anyway, it's another stepping stone crossed! |
