Donating YT 500 Club Member | Anne, don't worry about your buddies thinking you are being ungracious. Surely they are checking the board and see that you have not yet gotten your boxes. They are probably just as concerned over whether or not they will be there when you get home! It's just one of those crazy flukes that happen sometimes and although I tell you not to worry, I do know where you're coming from because in spite of myself, I would be worrying, too. Are Daizy and Ting Ting still waiting? I've been away from the computer today and haven't had a chance to catch up on everyone. I did see that Zoe's box was opened so it has made it to the new residence. (I think I remember that it was at the post office awaiting pick up.) Linda, I've dropped the ball a bit today because of my husband's birthday but I think we have two totally unknown situations (Daizy and Ting Ting) and Anne's awaiting her in Canada. We know Tobie's mother has her box but won't know who sent it until later in the week. After those, I think all gifts will have been ooohed and aaahhed over and the Sweet Sixteen will have come to an end. Those are just what I think and are subject to error. I already found a mistake tonight with Daisy and Daizy...evidently the computer took over the word after the first few letters and I didn't notice at the time. Didn't realize it until Zoe got her box today. I'm going to definitely miss the pictures and lists of all the presents. It has really been fun to see what the boxes held. This is really a fun activity even outside of the box you send or get! I'll catch you guys somewhere around the board and see you on this forum again in July for the sign-up for August's GE. Loved, loved, loved the GE and especially loved meeting so many of you wonderful people! It certainly makes this "huge" board seem more like a neighborhood. |

| Toy, it sounds like you're going somewhere. I know who Tobie22's SB is...but not gonna tell & spoil it. There is one person MIA...littlelady(?) so I wonder if she was able to send out a box at all. Really wonder if everything's ok over there... Daizy/Tammy & Ting Ting/Mary...my sweet friends, I hope they get their box soon. Anne, I really hope your boxes are waiting for you & your furbabies.

| Zoe finally received her package from LazyDaisy & Daisy! It was an adventure, as it had to go from Reno, NV all the way to Florida! Of course moving my move up a week or so didn't help anything either! (Again, I feel so sorry!) But after a a bit of drama getting internet set up at the new place to even post the pictures, I'm proud to say we not only got our package yesterday but there are now pictures of the amazing gifts they sent us! Thanks so very much TOY and everyone else for keeping track. It made me feel better. Now I just hope those that are still left get their boxes soon!

| Not on the list? TOY, there was this posting that might have been overlooked. So I guess there is at least ONE known box still in transition or awaiting the recipient somewhere? |

LOL.....no I'm not going anywhere...just some late night musings. I was just thinking how all this was coming to a close. I'm just a real sentimental person and got to thinking how everyone would scatter once the last boxes were opened. Shoot, I don't even know (come to think about it)...do people still hang around this part of the board when a GE is over and the other one is yet to begin? I love YT but in all honesty, it was a bit (and still is a bit) overwhelming to me because there are so many threads and people, etc. I am getting better at finding my way back to where I'd been but it has been a challenge trying to find the "rest of the story" sometimes...LOL You guys have to realize that I grew up in the "country" and the town I was closest to didn't even have a red light! I have absolutely no sense of direction and evidently that translates to "direction" on an internet Yorkie board, too...LOL (I would read about someone's Yorkie and then lose the thread and wonder about what happened, etc.) I know you can subscribe to threads, etc. but that nearly drove me crazy! I felt like I was drowning in emails much like how I have to search the unnecessary papers to find a bill from the gas statement. Don't even let me get started on that...it's one of my major pet peeves! I don't want to know about a clock that runs on potatoes or a salve that lightens age spots...you shouldn't have to go on a scavenger hunt just to find how much you owe so you can write a check! When I'm in a "pest and protest" mood, I cram all those crazy advertisements back in my return envelope with my check...LOL...hmmm, haven't done that in awhile...need to start again. Plus, the same company puts their return address where mine should go! I've been known to black theirs out and write "when you pay for the stamp, you can write your address here" LOL (Ahhh, no wonder I found the kids in the classroom who got into a bit of mischief a bit more interesting than those who were always just so/so.... I loved them all but "really" enjoyed the ones who kept me on my toes and guessing what'd they do next!) Anyway, that's why I don't subscribe to the threads anymore. It just got too overwhelming to find pages of email so I did learn how to navigate a bit better and find the threads I was most interested in following! BUT...it has been really easy to focus on this thread and know that in a time-crunch, I could hit this part of the board and be content to read what was going on. I have really enjoyed this and look forward to the next sign-up and exchange. Is there any particular place all of my new friends "go" on the board when "school is out"? (I can't help it...guess it's this time of year but it feels like everyone will be scattering for the summer...LOL)

Thor's Human Donating Member | Don't worry, some of us will still be around. SF doesn't have a particularly nice summer, so I'll probably be skulking around here a lot. I was just thinking that signups are JUST around the corner for the next GE - they start in July!

| awwww Deb, I'll always be here! But I can give you a couple tips for finding threads that you wanted to follow up on. 1. go to your page and then find that says 'find all posts by TOY' and click it, you should get a list of all the posts you have written which will have a link to the thread OR 2. Find the USER CP link, its in the menu bar before The all albums link. Clicking on USER CP will give you a list of threads you have looked at recently, posted to, etc... makes it a little bit easier! Hope that helps! You can also post on people's pages and say hi so you always keep in touch! I can't wait for the next GE!! If it's Sept I might have a really fun time because I will spend part of the month in New Mexico! However I won't get home until Oct 11, so it might be awhile before I'd be able to post pics of my box! (I'm thinking too far ahead aren't i? LOL) I just loved this GE though, everything was amazing! sooo many talented people here! I'm proud to be a member!!

From what I read in the rules/regs, the next sign-up is July and the exchange is August so you'll still be at home for the next GE. Then we sign up in October and send in November. (You can do some shopping for the November box while you're out visiting....somehow I think you'll be out and about looking at baby stuff for that nephew!) And I do need to start posting on people's pages! I just totally forget about that but I enjoy reading what I find on mine. Have a good Friday/weekend in case I don't catch you tomorrow! I pass by your cap every day and tell myself to go to the po but haven't yet. I am becoming more of a teenager every day...putting stuff off...LOL

I've lost track but did Daizy/Wabbit ever get hers? Also, Tobie still has to open hers that her mother is holding for her and then, of course, Mary and Anne. As far as I know that's it. I very well may have missed something in the last couple of days.
