| $20 is the guideline, but what's realistic I think I may fall into the overboard category. I re-read the rules and saw that $20 is the guideline. Is this really what people usually spend? I just wanted to ask because I have already gone over $40 and am not even close to done shopping yet. I don't want to go SO overboard that my secret buddy feels bad about what "he or she" got "his or her" secret buddy. I know I would feel bad if I stuck to the $20 budget and got a box worth significantly more. What do you guys think? What do people REALLY spend on this usually?

| Don't stress it! It's for the love of the puppy! We do what makes us happy. It is not very likely the yorkie you have will have you. |

| Yup that's about what I thought. My goal is about $50 but I ALWAYS go over what I say I'm going to. Tucky & I are just having sooo much fun shopping. We even had to take our stroller with us so we could use the basket it has under it to carry all the bags as we went from store to store, and we need to take another trip tomorrow too I'm so excited that we are getting to do this. We just missed the last one. I have a feeling Tucky & I will be GE participants for life now

| We're like going over $100 right now.... not to make anyone feel bad. But this is our first GE and Evie just wants to make it a very special one! She's enjoying shopping and picking out stuff for her buddy. She's a shopaholic

| Lets just put it this way...I sat this GE out, not because I didnt enjoy the first one (we LOVED it) but because I spent wayyyyyyy over 20 and it wasnt in my budget this time around. Its so much fun shopping for someone else's baby isnt it! I was only in 1 GE so I dont want her mom to see what I spent because it may seem like im saying it so she could know But I dont think many stay within the 20.00 budget. I know that everyone who participates doesnt care what you spend...alittle or alot...we are just grateful and happy!

| To be honest I have no idea what I usually spend, but I do go over the $20. What I try to do is buy things when they are on sale (toys, clothes, fabric, etc). Then put them away. When GE comes around I use some of the things I've found on sale, make some homemade treats, and send some store bought ones too, and usually use some of my fabric stash to sew something. So really I have no idea what I spend, but it is usually way over the $20 guideline... i just love spoiling someone elses furbaby.

| Well $20 doesn't go very far does it -- but I would be perfectly happy with a box of $20 goodies. Plus, I know some people can stretch that $20 really far with great sales, etc. It's just too much fun shopping!

| I would say that first off, I would want my buddy to just enjoy themselves and not stress. If all they have is $20 to spend, I am totally fine with that and if someone wants to go overboard I think that's ok too but certainly not expected. |

| Haha! Fantastic! I totally agree with everything you guys are saying. I just wanted to make sure I was doing this right cause it's my first GE and I already got my hint thread deleated cause I gave an inappropriate hint. I just really want to follow the rules and do what I am supposed to do because I would love to do the GE for many more times in the future. Tucky and I are just having so much fun! This is such a great idea. I really just want to know who came up with the GE so I can give that person a big kiss
