I think I may fall into the overboard category. I re-read the rules and saw that $20 is the guideline. Is this really what people usually spend?

I just wanted to ask because I have already gone over $40 and am not even close to done shopping yet. I don't want to go SO overboard that my secret buddy feels bad about what "he or she" got "his or her" secret buddy. I know I would feel bad if I stuck to the $20 budget and got a box worth significantly more.

What do you guys think? What do people REALLY spend on this usually?
