That is really sad for you and everyone involved.

Maybe you could get a Post Office Box so your mail/packages don't even have to come to your house. That must be horrible to have to worry like that about your packages being delievered and wondering if anybody is going thru your mail. I hope you find a solution. "Good Luck"

Oh Stormy! Hugs to you & Slade! It's not your fault either! I feel terrible that this happened to you, with this and with your other package from Ebay too! It's not fair for you to have stupid greedy people stealing your stuff right off your front porch! Plus...it's too late

I got to go shopping again on my way home from work today

! I forget exactly what was in the last box, but you can bet that Slade WILL get an awesome GE box-I was able to find some of the exact same things that we picked out for him before, and I think some of the things I bought tonight are even cuter than what I had originally sent

. Just bear with us-I have a couple things coming that might take a few days, so the new box might not arrive until after the GE deadline, but hopefully shortly after.

I hope whoever took it eats the homemade dog treats & bully sticks thinking they're people cookies and beef jerky!

They'd find out what a bully stick REALLY is!

Aww, you are too sweet, you really shouldn't have! Yt is such a great place filled with nice people. I'll ask mom her work address tomorrow and let you know it.

The people might find the homemade dog treats tasty, I know the ones I made recently sure did look and smell good! But bully sticks... YUCK!! hehe, but it would serve them right!

I was giving Slade and Laney a bully sticks tonight that I bought today when I picked up dog food at the feed store. Mom wanted to know what I was giving them (and if Schatzie could have one), and when I told her she was appalled and grossed out. Then told me it was just wrong to give Slade one to chew on, since he's a boy!

This is pretty terrible what happened to you with this ge package.. sick evil people in this world that do not care or respect for others property.

Maybe Yters need to get together with admin and make the parcels go via ups with signature required.. I think this would be a good idea..

I think it is great this package is being replaced also.. what an experience this has been reading this thread.. I have not done a ge, but want to.. so I too am learning..

Again I am sorry for both of you...

I think any pckgs sent with USPS from now on need to be sent w/ a sig confirmation, of course this is never anythng I would have thought of before this happened!

Plz don't let this exp turn you off from doing a GE, its soo much fun to shop for another furbaby!

I agree with the sig confirmation, and please don't let this deter anyone from participating in a GE!

Yeah it does...stink. That's awful and disappointing. And you know what....to add insult to injury...I wouldn't be surprised if the box was tossed in the trash after they discovered it was dog treats and toys in there.

I know someone said she told her post office to hold packages...but she's in a small town. I'm not, but you can fill out a form that accomplishes the same thing.

Btw, report the theft. The usps really frowns on mail theft and will try to catch the thieves.

That really stinks. You should consider a PO Box or a Box at a UPS Store. The UPS Store or something similar will sign for a package from any carrier, even a delivery from a local office supply store. They will keep it secure until you can pick it up. The PO Box will only accept packages from the USPS as far as I know, maybe Fed Ex. This theft thing is the very reason I stopped getting mail at my home, long before the Post Office put in locking mail stations (They still leave packages though).
