Well this stinks! My GE buddy PMed me through someone else to say my package had arrived last Thursday and ask if I had gotten it. We were gone all day Thursday, so I ask my mailman when he came by today, and he says he left two packages (I'm having the same problem with an eBay package, DC says package delieved but I didn't receive it). I've asked the mailman to put packages on the front porch if we aren't home, or take them back and leave a note. But he doesn't listen and continues to leave them at the side of the house where they are in clear view of everyone driving and walking by. There is a trailer court across the road from the house next to us, and can easily tell if anyone is home at our house, there are also several guys that walk up and down the road all day b/c they dn't have jobs or anything better to do. I think they probably took them  :( We had this problem before about a yr ago (stealing mail), but I thought the ones doing that had moved. oh well, Thanks GE buddy.. whoever you are. I'm sure Slade would have loved everything in his package if the neighborhood hoodlums hadn't stolen it. Does anyone have any idea what I can do to keep the mailman from leaving packages at the side door? Would it help if I called the post office and filed a complaint? |
At Christmas I knew there would be numerous packages delivered to my home and didn't want to inconvenience our carrier. I called our post office and requested any packages be left at the post office, for me to pick up. I would call each morning and ask if anything was there. If it is convenient for you to get to your local office you might want to try this. We live in a very small town so it wasn't a big hassle for them to remember. Your carrier should remember your previous instructions though! I'm sorry you've got such lousy neighbors! |
Oh no! I am so sorry! That sure does stink. I would talk to the post office and let them know that they put your packages in the wrong place, and that they were stolen. Also, maybe your GE buddy got insurance on the package? Hope this gets resolved quickly for you! |
Stealing mail I think is a Federal offense. |

Oh no! That's terrible! Insurance only covers the fact that the box would be delivered :( |
If it was stolen, that's pretty ghetto. |
I would definetely call the post office and complain about it, if it is not solved and it keeps on happening I would try to get a mailbox and have all my mail delivered there...imagine if they feel comfortable enough to steal a big package very well may start getting credit card and bank account info and that would become a huge problem!!! |

Ugh, I haven't even thought of them stealing stuff out of the mail boxes like bank statements and Cc apps. I don't really think these guys are sophisticated enough to steal our identities, but i guess they could. yikes. Why do people have to be so mean and suck so bad? I do sort of laugh at the thought of them getting the box home thinking they got something greata and instead they got dog treats, toys, or clothes. GE buddy, I got your PMs, I'm off to class now, but when I get back home I will respond and try calling the USPS. |
Oh NO!!!! Karma what goes around comes around!! |
I would file a POLICE REPORT. If they won't do anything, I would set up a video camera somewhere and get a big box, preferably somewthing with a high end stores logo on it, mail it to yourself (don't put a return address on it) and once it is delivered, leave it on the sid eof the house and wait for it to disappear. Hopefully you will catch the culprit on video and turn it over to police. |
I thought the rules were we had to insure our GE and send it with delivery confirmation with either ups/fedex or usps???? |
:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:( That is SOOOO SAD!!!! Ugh... people can be sooo evil. |
You need to call the post office and file a complaint...talk to the post master or super. They will flag your packages!!! |
I\'m so sorry someone stole your SB package ,I would make a police report. |
