2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | How do you all attach your bows to doggy dresses? I hand sew mine, I try my best to hide the stitches in the seam line whenever possible. It just takes so long . I've been trying new bow designs too and it seems like hand sewing them on is my only option if I want it to look nice. So, how do you attach your bows? What type/style of bows do you use? Preferred ribbon "Brand" Just curious and show pics if you can !

| I use tiny safety pins, just one, so they can be removed before washing. |

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | I usually stitch mine on with coordinating thread using my machine. I have hand stitched on before but I usually let my mom do that. I get so frustrated hand stitching. Lol.

| Lately instead of ribbon I have been using fabric and making bows that I can stuff, some I make puffier that others. I also hate hand sewing but sometimes I don't have a choice, depends on the bow and if I want it to show through to the lining side, most of my puffy bows I hand attach. I also have been moving away from bows, trying to mix it up a bit, I thought the multi colored ribbons came out cute, I machine sewed all that but then sewed the buttons on by hand. The bumble bee harness dress was made by someone else, I think the bow is cute and I know she does all that by machine including the button, I did not know you can sew buttons on by machine, but she does. I also am not a big fan of tails on bows, I think they cover to much of the skirt so I tend not to use those.

My only concern would be that the pin come undone and hurt the pup. Quote:

| I do it a variety of ways and depends on the client. I use a small strip of velcro...and sew that on the bodice, fabric glue the velcro to the bow and then it is removable for washing. Or I do sometimes hand stitch or even glue it on but only if the client doesnt wash the item. so most times I do it the first way. I like the safety pin idea also as an alternative.
