| Dress patterns I can never for the life of me get the skirt part to look right. Where do I place the ruffles at? And what shape should I cut out the skirt to be? Pictures would be appreciated! |

| not sure if you know but we have a fashion forum on here, that is where all the sewers post and show their items. I believe we have even discussed the skirt issue before. When you have a chance visit that forum and you might want to send a message to the moderator and ask them to move your thread there. good luck

| I started pleating a lot of Kyras dresses because the skirts seem to look better on her that way.

| if you are using a pattern you would place the skirt at the bodice where the black dots would be. thats how my patterns show me where to place the skirt, hood or etc. if you need some suggestions for great patterns makers let me know there are some on etsy i can give you the names of.

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | I fold the bodice in half (line it up perfectly) than iron down the center. Than fold the skirt in half and pin the center to the center of the bodice where the iron mark is. I make my skirts with pointed tips but sometime I will angle each side so that it is at a half moon shape or just an inch shorter than the center.
