Fun, easy, dress for Macayla

Oh I forgot to say that Sherry that does the dresses with the embroidery told me that she got inspired to start sewing after her cousin started making very expensive dog dresses out of vintage garage and thrift store finds. Her name is Tammy Peace and her co is www.pampered-pet-boutique.com She was even a high end sponsor at the Yorkie Fashion show I went to in NY. Perhaps those of you that want to re purpose can find ideas on her sight.

I just checked out her web site again, it's not the easiest to use, however I love the Georgia Peach dress, but ouch $150.00 I bet if you found some old prom dresses with ruching (sp) you could get a lot of dog bodices cut out of the top like that.

For those of you that sell you stuff you should constantly be checking out the high priced on line boutiques for ideas I think that often the only thing that makes these people get high prices is the fancy material they choose and the embellishments. OK LOL that is my sales and marketing background coming out

Donna, please buy a machine and jump in....Really, it's relaxing for you and women have made needle arts for 100's of years, and it is FUN making doggie clothes. You already have a fantastic sense of color and fabric styles and it is so addicting!!!

Will check out the website you posted, I love to re-purpose, especialy out of tablecloths or whatever, as sometimes the fabrics are better than anything I have seen, I think we all have special fabrics that jump up and say "take me, take me" and we keep thinking of them. (I don't want to mention the ones I have gone back to the store to buy because it kept me up at night, LOL) My girls have several Martha Stewart dresses BEFORE she stated selling clothes at Petsmart, LOL)

Sorry there is no "time in a bottle". I have always sewn in 10-15 and if Im lucky 20 min moments. I love making hairbows for Mina to match her outfits!
